A group of us met here for dinner on a Thursday evening when we were in town for events at the Kentucky Horse Park. We really enjoyed the bread, which was served as a flat round in a brown paper bag. The bread was warm and delicious, even more so with the olive oil and fresh, dried herbs. It was nice to be able to break off a piece of bread and only touch the piece that you're about to eat. The salads and entrees were delicious. The sausage in my pasta dish was so flavorful that I wanted to return and try it on their pizza. Cream sauces were not too much. The lemon flavored martini was delicious and not too sweet. One person ordered the strawberry shortcake dessert and didn't like the cake part. Prices seemed reasonable. We only had two issues. One, the place is rather noisy; we prefer things to be more quiet for dinner. Two, timing of service needed improvement. It took way too long for the martini and bottled water to arrive. Then, the waitress, who was very nice and offered samples of wine to taste prior to ordering, was already asking us about dessert when we weren't even halfway through our entrees. Apart from those issues, we enjoyed our meal at this restaurant and would return.

Very nice gluten free menu, which makes it nice for gluten sensitive people like my wife. Good food, good selection of wine.

The atmosphere was wonderful, it's a beautiful venue. The food was very delicious. The cost was moderate and the selection was very plentiful. We had a fun evening, and enjoyed our meal. We would stop there again if ever in the area

Bella Notte is one of the finest restaurants in Lexington, and I don't say it only based on how the food tastes. Rather, it's an overall great dining experience. When you step in, your head fills with the divine smell of smoked food. The staff are very friendly and nice, although not Italian! The Tuscan Bread is a must-try! You'll love it, no doubt! It's fresh out of the oven, served hot! We asked for more (we actually had 3 baskets of Tuscan bread, had them with the herbs-in-oil mixture they serve. We ordered from the pizza and pasta menu, and also the tomato basil soup, which was literally divine! Don't miss it! The pizza and pasta were special, nothing like you eat in other places, but I gave 4 stars rather than 5 only because the pasta, although different and special, was not so appealing to me. It was just okay. Other than that, this place will receive a 5 star from me.

An excellent choice for an Italian meal, Bella Notte provides an interesting and extensive menu. From appetizers to entrees to desserts, you will find dishes that are tasty and substantial. The pastas are exceptional and the pizzas very good. A good beer menu and decent wine offerings. The wait staff is young and enthusiastic with an attentiveness to your desires as well as schedule. This is a busy place so is very noisy. Don't plan on intimate or extended conversation with the constant movement of diners in and out. Go for the food, not the atmosphere. Reservations are a must on weekends.
