Things I liked about this hotel:

- Good location, easy access off interstate, and short drive to UK and downtown Lexington
- Late breakfast (it's wonderful when hotels offer breakfast until 10:00 a.m.)
- Business center
- Fairly quiet outside the building
- Free cookies upon checkin
- Comfortable rooms. Not particularly snazzy, but solid, particularly with a $65/night price
- Windows that open for fresh air (this is very important, and I really appreciate hotels that do this)

The only flaw, and it was a major one for me, was the fact that this hotel was really noisy. Noise coming through the inside door to the room next door, noise coming in from the hallway. Lots of noisy guests and the hotel wasn't really designed to buffer the sound. If you're a light sleeper, like me, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. But if you're not, then I think it's a great find in Lexington.

Had to go to Lexington for a funeral, and didn't want to pay a fortune. Found the Sleep Inn online and read the reviews. Sounded like it would fit our basic needs: a bed, shower, and continental breakfast. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly at the desk and check-in was a breeze. When we got to our room, we were pleased to smell that our non-smoking room was indeed just that. The room was clean, had the king-sized bed, as we requested, and was just the right temperature with a vent fan going. After the funeral, we came back to a busier hotel, but luckily the noise level wasn't too bad. I slept great, through the night, even being 2 months pregnant. We had plenty of warm water for our showers and are still pleased with our deluxe continental breakfast. Though our visit to Lexington was far from enjoyable for personal reasons, we were quite pleased with our stay at the Sleep Inn.

I wrote this before, but don't think it was sent, so hope it goes through this time.
On arriving in Lexington, KY, we called for more specific directions. The girl at the desk had a difficult time tiving us direct directions. On arriving, all went smoothly and our stay was comfortable. The room we booked was pleasant, but it amazes me how little attention is given to complete cleanliness. There was a layer of dust around the edge of the room. I mentioned this at the desk the next morning and he said he would notify housekeeping.

Stayed Thanksgiving weekend here after the motel my mother had Pricelined turned out to be a cesspool. While Mom argued with that front desk clerk I called Sleep Inn and spoke with Sara who was wonderfully sympathetic and helpful. I felt less stressed the minute we pulled into the parking lot and even my outrageously particular mother agreed that from the outside it was a 100% improvement over where we had just been. We went to check in and of course mom had to look the room over before she agreed to anything, but there was nothing to worry about. As has always been my experience with Sleep Inns, the room was clean, basic, and comfortable. We had long hot showers and a good night's sleep and in the morning a nice continental breakfast before spending the day with our extended family. Later that evening it was a relief to return to calm and quiet surroundings. The room cost more than the so-called "deal" we'd gotten on Priceline, but the quality and level of service just didn't compare. I can't speak for my mom but I will be a Sleep Inn customer for life.

My first choice, the Hilton Garden Inn across the street, was sold out. They called and found that the Sleep Inn had rooms available.

I was pleased with this motel. Bed was comfortable and the surroundings were quiet.

My rate was $71.10 per night.

Spent three nights in the Sleep Inn located just off Interstate 75 on October 8-10, 2004. My wife and I traveled to Lexington to watch the University of Alabama play Kentucky in football. Traveling with us were four other older couples. They all checked before we did and completely loved the place. I reserved the rooms under a government rate and saved everyone nearly $70 a night! They all bragged to my wife that I had done a great job in finding this hotel. Sleep Inn is located just off Man-o'-War drive and just minutes from downtown and the University of Kentucky. Eating establishments around Sleep Inn included Dammons, Outback, Rafferty's and many others. The staff and management was extremely cordial and very accomodating. I spent a lot of time chatting with kelly and she was very knowledgeable about Lexington and the surrounding area. Sleep Inn is located just a few minutes from Keeneland RaceTrace and downtown Lexington. While there we went over the a bourbon distillery and had a blast there! This is an outstanding Choice Hotel!
