“great tour by Danielle”

Gave you an insight about the grounds and you got to see a race and watch a movie and to learn a little something about what goes on inside the grounds. 2 in our group really wanted to go and the other 2 not so much but we left really having enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend it even if you are not into the horse scene.

“Worth Taking the Time to Go”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

When I visited the museum, my tour guide was not only knowledgable about the history of the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs, but he exuded the very culture and heritage of it. He was personable, interesting and shared things I certainly never knew about the sport and the location. The displays in the museum were also interestingly arranged and I thoroughly enjoyed the racehorse game.

“Wonderful Experience”

Whether you're a fan of thouroghbred racing or not, you must visit Churchill Downs and their museum when in town. Incredible amount of history and memorabilia all the way back to the late 1800's!

“Pricey, but very entertaining”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

The price was steep, so we considered skipping it altogether. But I'm very glad we decided to do it. I loved the interactive exhibits. You ride the plastic horses and have a fake race against your friends. Apparently a good upright posture is the key to winning. There's an exhibit that lets' you bet on races. If you're small enough, you can try on the jockey's silks. And weigh yourself. The museum covers pretty much every aspect of the Kentucky Derby: crazy hats, horseshoeing, thoroughbred anatomy, you name it!

Admission includes a brief tour of the grounds.

“If you like horse racing”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

The Museum is all things Derby - history, horses, jockeys, owners and the traditions. Plan on taking several hours to really see all of the exhibits -
