“Way too much construction”

Nice neighborhood to walk or drive along. Parking was a nightmare due to construction and snowbanks everywhere. Good for a visit once.

“Beautiful old mansions”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

We stayed at the DuPont Mansion B&B. Old Louisville and the old Mansion district was a few blocks away so we spent half a day walking the area looking at the architecture. Great place to tour

“Beautiful place to walk around”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

We took the haunted walking tour in Old Louisville and seeing all of the homes that are being brought back into existence was truly amazing. Louisville, is one city that truly cares about its heritage and future. I haven't been many places that feel that way. I would make a special trip to just walk around and few all of the old and beautifully restored homes and some of the greenways.

“Largest surviving victorian neighborhood in U.S.”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

If you like the days of yore when grand homes lined the streets and avenues of American cities, then you should not miss Old Louisville. There was once a trend of converting these old homes in to apartments for college students and younger people but that trend has been reversing as the city has provided incentives for people to renovate these gems. The revitalization of downtown Louisville with the building of the entertainment complex 4th street live, and the gallery and restaurant district of East Market Street, many people have returned to downtown and Old Town Louisville.

A fantastic time to visit Old Louisville is during the St James Art Court Art Show, the show is normally held on the first weekend in October, and includes more than 700 artisans and draws as many as 300,000 visitors.
