“A full day of fun, education, and entertainment!”
Reviewed 12 September 2011

I spent six hours at the Kentucky State Fair. They have so much to do and see you definitely need many hours to take it all in: Flea Market vendors, displays by Kentucky state and county organizations, animal displays, produce displays, shows, contests, etc.

Be sure to review the schedule so you can catch as many of the shows as possible since they offer repeat performances throughout the day. The highlights of the shows were the Frisbee catching dog show, and the comedy high diving act. You can also spend hours going from music tent to music tent listening to a variety of musical acts.

Plenty of food choices available from indoor food courts to outside food courts.

The highlight of the day for me was the Pillsbury Pie Crust Pie Baking Championship. They had forty-five entries. I enjoyed watching the judges decide which pie was worthy of moving on to the national championship.

Plan on going to the Kentucky State Fair, but plan on spending many hours!

“We went to the 2010 Kentuckiana All Breed Dog Show at the KFEC”
Reviewed 20 March 2010

First - it cost $6 to pull on the the parking lot at what looks like a ghost town of a place. The KFEC appear to be HUGE.

We went to the Dog Show in the west pavilion. The show was a lot of fun for us. If you have not seen a dog show in person - which we had not - it is a kick. The people are wild, the dogs are cute, handsome, adorable, interesting and totally entertaining. The agility part is what you want to see if your not just a dog lover. Dog lovers will enjoy seeing so many beautiful dogs.

Beware not to touch the dogs unless given permission.

The KFEC is a decent facility and fine venue. Not impressive other than the size of the place and the cost of parking.

Go to KFEC if you have a reason to - it is not a sight unto itself!
