“More Tourist Attraction-Less Antiques”
Review of Joe Ley Antiques

Using an out-dated pricing system, and workers who could care less, this place is more of a curiosity than a place of business. Lots of reproductions, even more NOT FOR SALE. The few things they do have for sale aren't really antiques for the most part and are over-priced. Interesting to browse once. If you have somewhere else to go save your time and skip this one.

If you are on the hunt for a particular historic style doorknobs, door hardware, doors, stained glass windows, fireplace mantles, furniture, sets of china, vintage toys, neon signs, etc. then this is the place to visit. It also has garden statuary and autographed memorabilia. Two buildings packed with everything you can think of.

While this place has a LOT of antiques, they could care less about selling to individuals. They are geared to selling to businesses with deep, deep pockets. If you just want to see antiques, though, it's a great place ti visit. The staff is relatively nonchalant about talking to customers. There are many friendlier places for the everyday shopper.

This was our second trip to Joe Ley's. We came from PA and brought friends with us this time and they absolutely loved it. There was no way we would be even close to Joe Ley's and not stop in just to look!! So much to see... overwhelming if you let it be!! Just look up, down and all around. So much to see :) The prices range from several dollars to thousands of dollars for items. They have a "price code" that they give you when you walk in and you use it to figure out the prices, as they are all "lettered". We sort of enjoyed that, although for some, I imagine it could be annoying. I didn't buy a thing this trip, but just enjoyed looking... my firends on the other hand.... well, let's just say I'm glad we had a large vehicle with us!!

This was across from Harvest restaurant so we decided to visit Joe Ley's.
You are created by a monotone man who recites from memory their pricing codes then says "thank you" and goes back to what he was doing.
The place is packed full of a huge higher end antiques (I prefer the more primitive type antiques).
There was a stuffed buffalo and a coffin!!
Not for me!
