“Louisville staple”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

There's a reason this has been a Louisville staple for 20+ years... They are really serious about providing good service and consistent food... Love the salads... If anything is not right, they will immediately and happily take care of business... Great thing about a place like this is you know what to expect.. Hope they're still around for another 20+ years...

“Hot Brown”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

We lived in the area many years ago and have tried Hot Brown in many places. With the exception of the Brown Hotel itself, this Hot Brown is our favorite.

Is it good for you? NO! But this is not a review to tell you how healthy it is. Just how good.

Service was above average, prices might be a bit high, but all worth the trip if you order the best thing on the menu.

“When in Louisville, eat a Hot Brown”
Reviewed 3 July 2014 via mobile

From the moment we walked in the door we had great service. The hostess and Amber, our server, were excellent. One family member enjoyed the black bean soup. Now for the hot brown. Very, very fattening but, very, very yummy.

“Will Not Return”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

This was our second bad experience at this restaurant. We only went back because the couple we were with wanted to go there. Because the food from our first experience was not good, we decided to order the meatloaf (who can ruin meatloaf -- right). Well Austin's can. Our food was not hot (below room temperature when it was served). The meatloaf was dry and they gave me the wrong side dish. In addition, their wine glasses are really small.

“Great Value for Good food”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Great place we have been going to off and on for 10 yrs. Weekend Prime Rib is worst the trip. They have some great steaks and sandwich as well. If you go on Thursday you can get any house drink for $2.50. The layout of this large restaurant provides some privacy and quite areas in many areas. There is an outside patio during good weather and private rooms available. You can make reservations or call ahead. I like the fact that most dinner menu items are priced as a complete meal (salad, side item, entree). So the $17.99 Filet included the salad and side. (I hate it when in small print many restaurants say add a salad for only $3.99)
