Had a great lunch there. They were so helpful with the menu as I was a first time patron. Food was great and plentiful and prices were not bad either. Definitely will be going there many more times.

Annie's is located in the South End of Louisville where restaurants are somewhat scarce and it is nice to have a reliably good restaurant serving authentic vietnamese fares. It is a family owned restaurant, Annie is in the kitchen and her family helps with the service. I often pick up a carry out and it was always very quick. The dining room is not very exciting but it is casual and kids friendly.

Small and quaint place. The food was excellent and priced very reasonably. Entree was fresh and served very quickly.
Not many criticisms of the place all in all, we enjoyed the experience and would go back.

My first visit to Annie Cafe. Restaurant was clean and casual, formica-topped tables. The Ca Kho To (catfish clay pot dish) was delicious with two large fillets of fish with a thin, dark, slightly sweet sauce and green onions. We also ordered the vegetarian garlic sauce with vegetables over rice was the disappointment. Lots of canned baby corn, canned mushrooms, canned bamboo shoots, canned water chestnuts, a few fresh snow peas, fresh slices of carrot and 3-4 small flowerets of fresh broccoli was notable for its use of canned vegetables. It was a disappointment in quality and taste. For a vegetarian dish I was expecting ALL fresh vegetables and certainly not what seemed like an entire can of baby corn. The sauce was unmemorable.

Given the otherwise pretty positive ratings, I might go back but I certainly would ask about the vegetables before I got anything in that category.

Not as much variety on the menu as the popular Vietnam Kitchen, but the dishes that Annie's has are are much better in my opinion! There is also a selection of familiar Chinese-American dishes for the not so sure about Vietnamese food person that my be dining with you. Friendly service and very affordable make this the best place to eat in Louisville's South End almost non-existent dining scene.
