To complement our amazing permanent collection, which includes thousands of items from famous world leaders and one of the country's largest toy soldier displays, the Frazier Museum offers an ever-changing selection of intriguing temporary exhibits. Every day, we offer live historic performances, bringing visitors face to face with some of the people and events that changed the world forever, as well as with average people whose moving and important stories you've probably never heard. The Frazier Museum is located on downtown Louisville's "Museum Row" in a beautiful 100,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility originally called the "Doerhoefer Building," a late 19th century, Chicago-style commercial structure. The Frazier Museum has three floors of exhibits, an education center, Museum Store and tournament ring, as well as event spaces available for rent, including a beautiful Rooftop Garden featuring seasonal blooming flowers and our Fourth Floor Loft space that accommodates up to 360 people seated.

A great walk thru the history of weaponry from the middle ages thru the American West. It doesn't matter if you dislike guns, the museum provides a prospective on how the development of weaponry affected the outcome of history. If you visit soon there is an outstanding American flag exhibition. A must see when you visit Louisville.

This is a must see in Louisville. They have various military and firearms history. From military armor from the early days, from admired gun collection from everything respective gun manufacturer, to the wild west era involving the jesse james and younger gang. I would recommend this to anyone. Plan on 2-3 hrs to see everything. This is within walking distance from the Louisville Slugger Museum. The museum is very clean and well maintained.

We had a reception and dinner here and our meeting attendees got to tour the museum during the reception. Very interesting museum (check out their flag rooms) and great for kids and adults.

Across the street from the Louisville slugger museum. What a historic museum. My son 10 is very into guns, & history. This was the perfect place for him. There are 4 levels. The guns range from the primitive ones to the Wild West ones to a gun presented to president George Washington. We was amazed. Reasonable price. $ 16 for both of us. It took us at a fairly medium pace about an hour. The Wild West section was his favorite. They did have demonstrations in the theatre on the first floor. There is a neat short movie about the Wild West shows on the second floor. Be sure to check out the miniature displays of armies in the hallways by the bathrooms. They do have traveling exhibits on the 4th floor. It was the Best of the NFL from Canton, OH.
Tip : they sell popcorn in the gift shop in souvenir cups.
