Luxury on a large scale. From the lobby to the service, this hotel has never let me down in more than 50 stays. Located in the bustling 4th Street Live area, it allows access to numerous resaurants and lots of nightlife.

We checked in on 5/24/14 around 2:15PM. It was really busy and we had to wait a few mins, but the front desk clerk was so polite. He apologized and worked very hard to accommodate all of our requests; he made the check in so smooth! Our room was small, but expected due to age of hotel. You HAVE to visit the bar downstairs! Our waitress was knowledgeable about bourbon and recommended several bourbons to try (we loved them all)! The executive lounge was a very nice touch and the gentleman working was attentive and kind. We had a wonderful experience; we have recommended the Seelbach to all of our friends and will go back soon!

I love the hotel, but lunch was a disappointing experience. The young guy had higher priorities with the younger girls, and who could blame him unless you're waiting to be served. Overall, I would stay here again, but never eat here. Beware, you will have to pay for internet access.

No rooms ready for check-in before an afternoon wedding. Checked bags and asked to have a bottle of champagne chilled for us at midnight to be ready when we arrived. Arrived around 12:30am and checked in. Asked about bottle and was assured that it would be in the room. Got to room and found otherwise. Called, 20 minutes later received wrong bottle of cheap house champagne. Called again, had to describe what I brought. They found it and delivered it after another 20 minutes. No attempt to make it right other than giving us the cheap bottle to keep.

Beautiful hotel with excellent service & staff. Conveniently located within easy walking distance to many downtown destinations. This is our second stay here and it was as memorable as the first. The Oak Room never disappoints.

This is a historic hotel so the rooms are small, bathrooms pretty tiny and while full of character, not the most comfortable stay - especially if you had more than one person in the room. I was alone and on the Club floor so got access to the lounge with free breakfast and evening reception and I only visited twice, but the man staffing the place was so nice and provided excellent service. I also liked that this floor had a cooler full of bottled water and other soft drinks available all the time - even when the club lounge was closed.

The beds are comfortable and the wifi was okay, but the best thing about this hotel (I didn't do the ghost tour which I hear is great) was the location. You can step outside and be at dozens of restaurants and bars and it's in a pedestrian only zone so really easy to get around. This was especially helpful with our larger group going out to eat and drink without having to get our cars.

The service was good - although a number of people I encountered said they were new so didn't know the answers to things - and everyone tried to be helpful.

The elevators are slow and the restaurant food and drink wasn't very good (we had a snack and drinks, not a full meal), but again service was good.

The Seelbach is one of my favorite hotels in the Hilton portfolio. It's old, classic hotel with lots of character. This type of hotel is nice to experience. The staff is very attentive and the Bar is one of the best in the country. The hotel is in a great location.
