I reserved a nonsmoking king room. When I checked in the clerk, who was not wearing a name tag and refused to give her name, was extremely rude. I had enough points for a free night and I'd paid for a second night with a credit card. I explained this to her and asked that she ensure both reservations were booked for the same room so that I wouldn't have to check out and then check in again the following day. I've done this at hotels all over the country and have NEVER had a problem doing it.
The girl rudely argued with me that I did not have a reservation for the following day. I gave her the reservation number. She then snidely told me I was wrong, that reservation number was for tomorrow. The same day I'd told her we had a reservation for.
I told her to just give me the key for that nights room and I'd work it out with the manager the next morning.
She had me sign the waiver saying I wouldn't smoke in the non smoking room and gave me the keys.
The room was a very dirty smoking room.
I went back to correct her error. She gave me keys to a room with two full beds. I'd reserved a king bed. I went back and she told me the only other room she'd give me was next to the bar.
I cancelled the reservation for the next day and we went to the Marriott instead.
I will never stay at this hotel again.
