This "B&B" was a unique experience that I only recommend if you are a tolerant traveler. The property is beautiful, but it is more like renting a room in a downtown apartment than a B&B. The location, right downtown, is walking distance from all the major sights and surrounded by excellent restaurants. The three bedrooms share a very attractive living room, kitchen, bathroom and deck (with a max capacity of eight people), The unit is accessed by a set of very steep stairs. There is a key to the outside door which does not seem to be locked. The bedroom doors seem only to lock from the inside, so you cannot secure your room when you go out. Breakfast is a box of pastry from a local bakery left on your table, perhaps before you go out and get your own food. If you are lucky, the bathroom will be stocked with soap, enough clean towels for all the guests and a back stock of toilet paper. (I was not lucky.) But the location and the unique architecture and decoration make the experience worthwhile.

Room Tip: The third floor seems to be the best space.

From the picture on the booking website we were expecting a nice-looking single room, so imagine our pleasant surprise to see that we had the entire 3rd floor to ourselves, complete with a stocked kitchen, pool table, nice furniture, walk-in shower, and more. Tall ceilings. Decor was a nice blend of old and modern, and we felt like we were renting a luxury apartment. Simply unbeatable for the price... we will definitely be back!

We did have a little confusion getting into the place as it is basically above the Tribeca Mexican restaurant. We had to ask the restaurant staff if we were in the right place and how to get to our room and we were never really sure if we were interacting with B&B staff or not. Also if anyone there is reading this we couldn't find the 8 ball in the pool room.

However these were very minor things. The B&B is an incredible value for the price, and perfectly located near the riverfront within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, the National Quilt Museum, the cinema, and more. Thanks Paducah!

Room Tip: The top (3rd) floor is the biggest and most private.

We stayed on the 3rd floor- decorated beautifully. It is within walking distance to Luther Carson Center (just around the corner)- numerous antique shops and restaurants. We ate at Tribeca Mexican Restaurant, and it was delicious. Staff was very friendly! Kitchen had full-size stove, mini fridge with drinks. Has a huge shower, a bath and a half bath, pool table, and an out of this world mattress on the bed!

Why on earth would you stay in a hotel when you could stay in a renovated home for the same price?? Very short walking distance from great dining and bars. Penthouse suite has pool table and EVERY update and 2nd floor has a deck with a hottub. I will not stay anywhere else in Paducah.
