“Light in the darkness”
Reviewed 28 June 2013

We'd been up all day and on the road very late into the night. We called ahead to the Drury Inn in Paducah to see if they had any rooms. Spoke with a very nice woman by the name of Sandra who said she would hold a room for us even though it would be nearly 2AM before we got in. Sure enough she saved us a room and what a lovely room it was. The bed was so comfortable and the room was very, very clean and smelled fresh. We got a few hours sleep and were back on the road but we were greatful for a friendly voice in the night that was willing to save a room for us. Thank you for such a nice room and to Sandra for your sweet voice.

The good and bad:
Good: Friendly front desk staff and speedy chek-in.

Location is great with many eating places very close and a mall a mile or less up the road.

Clean room and super comfortable king bed.

The bad: Had to call the desk right off for hand soap. None in room. It was promptly delivered along with requested extra towels. 2nd day of stay, no room servicing yet well passed 4 PM. when someone finally came, stood outside door and asked if we needed towels, asked how our trash was. Never came in to make the bed, vacuum or clean the bathroom. Maybe this is what you get with Sunday promotion? Hope not.

Free food..let's just say it,s food. They are working hard and people seemed to be eating it. As far as alcohol, BYOB unless you like just one choice of beer (light) and syrupy mixed drinks. We used just one of our 3 drinks on Saturday evening.
We stayed at Drury in Troy, Michigan earlier in week and came here just to stay here. They don't compare, I am sorry to say. I don't,t want to sound like we hated it because we didn't. The stay an extra day for $54 was attractive. Better than most places, I am sure but the lack of housekeeping today was a real turn-off.

If you need to do laundry there is one washer and one dryer on 2nd floor. Quarters at the front desk.

Everyone in our group enjoyed the stay at this location. We especially liked the pool set up. The kids could swim and the adults could sit poolside only outside on the nice patio area with tables and chairs away from the noise of being actually in the pool area. The staff was very accommodating. The beds were comfortable, our room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was great. This location had everything to make for a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: We were next to the pool and entry door but never experienced any problems with noise. With that be...

This is our second time staying here. It is a great hotel with a very friendly staff. Rooms, lobby, dining area were very clean. There was always someone out during dining hours keeping the area tidy and tables clean. We love drury hotels and this location is our favorite one!

We stayed for two nights with some friends on the way to Chicago travelling from Nashville. We were there to see the National quilt museum and the murals. Both were incredible. tjere are quit a few little shops worth browsing in the same area. The hotel did a great job and certainy fulfilled every need we have when traveling on the road.. It was clean, updated, staff was polite and efficient, hotel was quiet at night and had adequate breakfast. The eating area was very inviting and comfortable. There is an Outback next door and the food and service was excellent, so easy on the night of arrival. If you just don't want to go out, the hotel serves something simple to fill your tummy and go to bed early. They also provide alcoholic beverages for a couple of quarters each. We brought our little well behaved dog and he was welcome and not made to feel he was unwanted. Easy places to walk him.

Room Tip: Hotel is not on a noisy highway. We were on the Bob Evans side and it was quiet.

We were traveling Memorial Day weekend and decided to stay a night at the Drury Inn at Paducah, KY. The room was clean and comfortable. They serve a light meal at dinner time at no additional cost. Hotdogs, baked potatoes, nachos. It was just right after a long drive. In the morning they served breakfast at no cost. If you factor in the savings of two meals,it makes for a very reasonable stay.
We enjoyed it so much that we stayed there again on the way home.
The staff was friendly and professional.
We make this trip a couple of times a year,so we will definitely stay there again.

No free drinks, KY law. If you want a cocktail or beer/wine you have to buy it. Three drinks $1.83. I though it was a bit strange but gotta go with the flow. Happy hour had hotdogs and meatballs. Breakfast was a typical Drury, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, cereal, waffles.
Hotel is clean, friendly staff..
