We recently stayed at this hotel while in town visiting family during the holidays. Room was clean and fairly sizable. I am not one to complain much about hotels but do have a few complaints here. The breakfast was not much to talk about. 2 types of cereal, milk, juice and Little Debbie type honey buns and donut sticks. Onion flavor bagel and raisin bread were the only options for bread. Banana for fruit. They no longer have "make your own waffles" which I was looking for. I was disappointed with the breakfast as this is my favorite meal of the day. There are no irons or ironing boards in the rooms or laundry area. They do have one washer and dryer guest can pay and use. I think there living quarters for staff were above our room where a lot of heavy walkers were. I think maybe kids were up there running in the room as well. All in all it was a good value, clean and convienent location, much better than staying with the in-laws !! We like our privacy and own bath when we travel. We would stay here again in the future and recommend it for a good place to sleep. Waffle House is in walking distance, across the street is McDonalds and Arby's, Hardee's is within a few miles all where you can get a good breakfast. We have stayed at all the top 5 hotels in Shelbyville through the years and this one was okay. Cracker Barrel restaurant is off the next exit going east towards Frankfort, KY (approx. 3 miles for hotel.)
