“Nice venue”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 February 2014

Went to the Old Stone Inn on a weekday night. Very small crowd. Attractive and part of it is very old. We were seated in a rather boring room. Food was pretty good but rather overpriced. Fried chicken good. Service was ok.

Asked for some more gravy for my mashed potatoes. A very small container was supplied.
CHARGED 50 cents. YUCK

“Very good southern cooking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 November 2013 via mobile

We liked the whole experience on a pre Thanksgiving night that we hoped for. The inviting atmosphere and friendly staff were a real plus. We had the fried chicken and hot brown entrees, both were good and the fried chicken was outstanding. Nice amount of people were there. Definitely recommend it.

“overpriced mediocre food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 November 2013

My wife's hot brown was dry, with ham and tomato missing in action. Very little cheese sauce. It would have been overpriced at $11, ridiculous at $17. My chicken breasts were huge but raw inside. The gravy was white and tasteless. The green beans were excellent. Unbelievably overprices at $17. Go a few miles down the road to Claudia Sanders and get much better for far less. The fried green tomatoes were good but way too small a portion for $9. The service was the only outstanding part of the entire meal experience.

Go somewhere else.

Not impressed! Food was mediocre at best. Setting was nice but our waiter was not at all attentive nor friendly. He never came back to offer refills, etc. and to make it worse the price was high for value.of food,

“Great Dinner and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 April 2013

I met an old friend here on a Friday night at 5:30 pm. This is a beautiful old building. We were both surprised at the lack of diners and had the restaurant almost all to ourselves for the hour and a half we were there. Made for a great place for conversation and catching up. I had the Chicken and Artichokes which was awesome while my friend had the salmon which she claimed was the best she's eaten. They served white biscuits with the meal which I didn't care for but otherwise a great meal with a nice presentation, helpful and friendly staff and reasonable price. I will definitely return when I'm in the area again.
