This State Park Lodge has decent rooms that are dated but fairly well maintained. Our room had a connecting door to the one next to us and it was noisy until we called the front desk.
It is very easy to get to the hiking trails inside this state park as well as those in Red River Gorge. The restaurant here serves the type of food one would expect, heavy on fried items. Based on that during our two night stay we chose to eat elsewhere.
They have a recently opened tavern adjacent to the front desk. The bar is captained by a young man named Colen and he is energetic, extremely friendly and glad to have you there. After a day of hiking this was one of the best stops we could have hoped for.

We spent three nights in a park cottage while hiking at the park and mostly at nearby Red River Gorge. The cottage was nicely sized and equipped, although it was surprising that sugar and creamer weren't supplied with the coffee. Parts of the cottage had been updated (tile in the bathtub for example), while other parts needed work (damaged window screens). The kitchen was pretty well equipped, albeit with a mishmash of pots and pans. The worst thing was that there was no Wi-Fi and no cell coverage at our cabin. (The lodge had slow Wi-Fi.)

Because of geography, you have to drive to the cottages, although you can take a 10-minute walk to the lodge, pool, and other amenities. (Also, most of the hiking trails require a half-mile climb to Natural Bridge to reach the trailhead. I would recommend doing more hiking in Red River Gorge instead; it's just a few miles away. The front desk has basic maps and you can get more resources at nearby outfitters.)

Room Tip: Note that almost all the cottages are only accessible via stairs. I think there's only one where you can park at the same level.

We stayed Fri-Sun. Staff at lodge was great, very helpful. Cabin we stayed in was very well maintained. Cable tv, wood fireplace, central air. Be prepared for stairs. Stairs. And more stairs. We will return.

Spent 2 days and one night at the Lodge. Had a wonderful time. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was nice and the food at the restaurant was very good and well priced. The walk to the bridge and the surrounding areas were beautiful. We didn't want to leave.

We were road tripping north and happened upon it; stayed two nights to enjoy the rooms in the lodge, the good food, and the many well maintained trails from the lodge. Off season, so we could see many of the rock formations and mountains. Staff help was excellent. Highly recommend it.
