“Enjoyed the Woodford Inn”
Reviewed 10 September 2013

We spent the last night of our 10 day vacation at the Woodford Inn. It was a great way to end our travels. The staff was very friendly, helpful and met our needs. Dinner and drinks were excellent. Breakfast was very good. Rocking on the front porch was relaxing. The room and bathroom suite was clean and well appointed. Hope to return to this lovely B&B.

We spent two nights at the inn. The staff could not have been any friendlier. Food at the restaurant was very good. We had two dinners there, and enjoyed both. The inn is located in the center of town off the main street and convenient for walking. The room was overall fine, but a couple of items: first spider webs in the bathroom. These looked like they had been there for a while. Second, after the room was cleaned on Saturday there was a wad of paper on the floor. An ironing board was left in the hallway for 12 plus hours until I moved it into a closet. There is a nice porch with comfortable rocking chairs available, but empty glasses/ bottles and full ash trays were left for hours (and overnight). Overall this is a nice place to stay, just some attention to details would help. We would stay there again.

The personnel was very friendly and did their very best to deliver great service. When we arrived, the AC in our room was broke and we got moved to another room, no problem here. The rooms were nice and everything was clean, the bed was comfortable.

The big issue I have with this B&B was that we paid $148 per night and the breakfast was something was just stunning. This was the worst joke that we got served as a breakfast ANYWHERE in the world in the last 30 years. It was a muffin with an egg and a slice of cheese and a coffee. No juice, not even butter, no nothing else... wow... I would have gotten something better at a McDonald for a Dollar Fifty.

My advise - unless you want to experience the worst breakfast that was ever served to you, do not stay at this B&B. Their pricing is ridiculous, and the breakfast a poor joke.

Room Tip: Both rooms we saw were nice and we heard the same from our friends. Just skip what they call "b...

This B&B was nice. It was a peaceful experience, but I arrived late and was the only guest. The bed was super comfortable and the Jacuzzi tub a welcome experience. I did have one minor issue, I made coffee in my room and the creamer was bad... apparently most people do not bother to relax in these peaceful rooms... I had breakfast outside on the patio and it was so relaxing.

We stayed here while visiting the bourbon trail. We stayed in Room #3 that had a double Jacuzzi bathtub that was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The bar had a good selection of bourbons along with everything else. The restaurant was also good and the bourbon bread pudding was to die for. All of the staff was very friendly and we had a nice relaxing weekend.

Room Tip: room 3 is the only one with the double Jacuzzi bathtub, so worth it

This is a very nice inn that is noteworthy for its friendly and helpful staff. While it includes a comfortable bar and quality restaurant, the rooms and amenities are typical of a first-rate B&B. Plan to bring your own hair-dryer, although I'm sure the front desk would move heaven and earth to provide one if necessary.

A couple of additional notes about room #1: As they clearly state online, the bed has a TempurPedic mattress. A salesman once told me and my wife that "people either love them or hate them." One of us loved it. And, as others have pointed out, the location at the top of the stairway means you will hear a lot of movement in the hall. You will also hear everything that goes on in the sitting room at the foot of the stairs. During the afternoon and early evening this seemed to be a popular refuge for hard-of-hearing seniors and squalling babies. By about 9pm, however, the room cleared out and it was thankfully quiet overnight.

The location is attractive and breakfast was cooked to order. It was a pleasant experience overall and we would return.

We are a group of four couples traveling and visiting the area's bourbon distilleries. Staying here was a great choice. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a great way to start our days. The restaurant was nice for dinner at the end of our day. The staff was very friendly. We would gladly repeat our visit.

Room Tip: We were in room 2 and it was very large and comfortable.
