“So friendly and accommodating from the moment you walk in the door”

My wife and I decided to stay at The Woodford Inn based on a recommendation from some family that had stayed there. We took two nights away for her birthday and were never disappointed. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home! The food we had every night in the bar was wonderful and, again, the staff was extraordinary!

The room was clean and very comfortable (tempur pedic bed!), and the whole place felt very homey. My only suggestion would be to have black-out curtains available as we slept in and it would have been nice to be a bit darker :D

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 6, didn't see any others. We didn't have any issue with noise, but we wer...

My wife and I were desperately needing a weekend getaway. We found it at the woodford Inn. Everything was beautiful. It was a nice, quiet break from the every day hustle. I loved the home, and everything about it. The room was comfortable, quiet, and clean. The staff were very nice, and helpful, and the restaurant and bar were great (try the southern stuffed ravioli. It is one of the best meals I have ever eaten). The local attractions were great also. We visited the Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, and Buffalo Trace distilleries, and they were all very nice and informative. We also visited the Kentucky Horse Park, it also made for a lovely time. (where else can you stand in the same barn with a Kentucky Derby winners cigar, and go for gin?) I would recomend to anyone.

A group of us stayed here during a business trip and it was a wonderful change from impersonal hotels. We were greeted like family and it continued throughout our stay. The food and atmosphere in the restaurant was beyond compare from the pub chips to the melt in your mouth filet! I can't wait to go back. Business or vacation!

Room Tip: Sorry no fitness except walking around the city or going up and down the stairs.

While many enjoy the Woodford Inn during the peak summer months, we had a surprisingly free weekend and decided to take an adventure from southern Ohio to bourbon country during January. The Woodford Inn was a whim (based on our love of Woodford bourbon!) and we were absolutely thrilled with the choice. I talked with Bruce, owner of the Inn, over the phone prior to making reservations and he was the epitomy of southern friendliness. He gave us plenty of information to plan our spontaneous weekend and suggested one of his favorite rooms. Upon arrival on Friday night we were greeted by a host of staff who made sure we were comfortable and had all that we needed for the weekend. We spent the first night in the bar (a rareity for b&bs) and had one of the best meals ever. Highly recommend the mahi mahi, pimento bites and sweet potato fries! We sang along with a young guitarist who entertained us and a small group of very friendly locals. The bartenders felt like family by the time we got through our first drink. The weather on Saturday was snowy so we took our time over breakfast and made the acquaintance of Lucy who provided us with some special treats from her kitchen. We made our way to Buffalo Trace distillery and had a great tour and sampling. Highly recommend! Stopped at the Grey Goose in Midway on our way back to the Inn and found equally fun and friendly staff. Spent another dinner at the Woodford with Addie's special fare including filet mignon, roasted vegetables and an assortment of tremendous desserts. We can't say enough about the accommodations at the Woodford. Comfy Temperpic beds, hot showers, jet tub, large, clean bathrooms, Wi-Fi and great heating system. We will certainly be back during warmer weather to experience the front porch and outdoor concerts that we hear so many good things about. Thanks to Bruce, LInda and the entire Woodford team for creating such a fun and memorable winter getaway for two busy people!

Room Tip: We loved having a room on the front that overlooked the expansive yard and gave us a peek at the qua...

We stayed here while on the Bourbon Trail. The house is charming and the rooms are nice and cozy. In fact, the room was much nicer than I expected. The high points of this inn are the restaurant and bar. The menu showcases local cuisine and is expertly prepared. The bar is stocked with bourbons and the bartender will let you sample them along with a description and explanation of their differences.

This is the first place we stayed while doing the Kentucky Bourbon Trail last week. Arrived on Sunday to find a bored Santa sitting in the common room with a photographer. There was some kind of special weekend downtown fest going on. Our rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. However we couldn't regulate the heat and our room stayed stuffy even with the window partially open. Breakfast was just okay.

Room Tip: Be sure you don't get a room over the bar.
