I stay at this hotel frequently. Newly remodeled. Exercise Room is small and there are no weight any longer. Great reception in the evenings with full meal, wine, beer, soft drinks, ,etc. usually has salad and/or veggies with dip. Folks are always friendly.

My wife, our dog, and I have stayed here several times in past two years including during renovation. We always enjoyed the friendly staff and location. Now the renovation is complete and the rooms are modern and clean and the bathrooms look so good. The dining room is also very well done. We think the staff is among the best we have encountered

We chose Residence Inn because our visit was going to be lengthy and Marriott chains are generally consistent.
Firstly our rooming accommodations have been clean and well equipped. Housekeeping has also been lovely. That's the good stuff.
Now, the hotel is currently under renovation and the website makes no mention of this. Each time you leave the room your time is spent dodging construction workers and materials. Also due to the construction you must go to the other Marriott across the way for breakfast and to use the gym. This is very inconvenient.
We have been unable to use the pool because it has been packed daily with non-guests. Some people who live in town rented a room and invited at least 20 friends to celebrate a birthday. Their evidence is still sitting all around the pool area in the form of trash and dirty towels strewn about.
Then there is the grill. I was hoping to surprise my better half who is here working with a lovely dinner of blackened grilled gulf fish ( not cheap). I proceeded to the grill and immediately there were issues. After about 40 minutes no less than 3 employees were able to light the grill which was filthy. By the time I personally cleaned the grill it went out. When I mentioned that the grill had gone out the front desk agent stated he would have the guy who lit it return. Said guy never came. Dinner was ruined.
The next morning as I made my way past the front desk to go to breakfast at the other hotel I stopped for coffee. It was ice cold and clearly from the day prior. I also asked the Front desk agent if an engineer would be on hand to repair whatever was wrong with the grill and explained my issue from the night before. His response was that the grill had been frozen for some time and the grill company needed to be called. Odd that no other employee had this knowledge and that no signage reflected this anywhere. He also gave me the whoops face but offered NO apology whatsoever. We still have about 10 days left here and I'm seriously hoping this hotel gets it together!

Like the fact we can count on this chain for comfort and quality. Off the main track, clean and quiet. The staff were wonderful at check in and again in the morning.
We were just passing through and this was a good choice for what we needed.

After over 200 nights this year at different Residence Inns this one is a treat! The rooms are nice and in the process of being renovated. The GM Trang Le goes out of her way to cheerfully great everyone she meets, she also gets involved with the food service and her touch is evident in the variety and quality of the food. This is a very welcomed change from the usual fare at other locations. Actually the entire staff here have made our stay here comfortable.
Plus the location is a short straight line to the Mall of Louisiana in one direction and a short straight line to the Premium Outlet Mall in the other direction and then another straightline to the newest casino in the area. Nice location.

Room Tip: Always get a room as close to lobby as possible...the internet connection slows down in all Residenc...

Got this Marriott property for $47/nite on a two day stay (Fri/Sat). Even with the lobby computer down (so was the adjacent Courtyard) and the outdatedness of some of the furnishings, room was spacious and very nice. Easy on/off the interstate and located next of a shopping center with a WalMart, Kohls, Sams, etc and some restaurants like Chili's.

Usual residence inn ammenities which are good except the furniture is getting a bit long in the tooth (was nice to see the manager comment that they are getting a facelift soon!). Comfortable stay, close to I-10, several restaurants (chains) within walking distance (in shopping area behind hotel). It is a bit difficult to manuever into if you don't know where you are going.

The feature of this residence inn that makes this a great place to stay is the staff. To a person, they are the friendliest and most helpful staff I have encountered in any hotel. I am in this area frequently for business and although there is a Marriott property 15 minutes closer to where I am going and a lot newer than this property(disclaimer - I am Marriott rewards and always stay in Marriott properties), I prefer to stay here.....because of the staff.
