We booked this hotel for a soccer tournament our kids were playing in and really just needed a comfortable place to sleep and shower. Boy did we hit the jackpot. For the price of an average hotel room we had a true one bedroom suite with a sofa bed in the living room and a full kitchen. We bought groceries at the Whole Foods right next door and made a wonderful dinner in the suite. In the morning, they offer a lovely breakfast buffet, nothing microwaved here, it's a nice selection of hot eggs, sausage, biscuits, potatoes, make your own waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt...you get the idea. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat and did I mention how professional and friendly the staff here is? Quiet location too.

It is so nice to be pleasantly suprised when staying in a hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was always eager to help and made our stay enjoyable. The free breakfast was so good. I will definately stay here every time I am in Baton Rouge!

Cheap built hotel and not maintained. Smelled really bad in lobby but the rooms where no different. Smells like sleeping in a dog kennel. They did offer a can of spray to make it smell better. Not up to Marriott standards. No insulation, could here the persons above me walking around, toilet flushing, and dogs barking. Not the place to stay for business or pleasure.

We haven't ever had a problem with a Residence Inn and recently stayed at Residence In Baton Rogue Towne Center at Cedar Lodge and it was as we expected - very clean and a good location next to a very nice new shopping center and several well-known restaurants. Would recommend this hotel. Is a little pricey but was booked when we called so I booked it online through our marriott rewards member site and got a room.

I recently stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn Baton Rouge Towne Center at Cedar Lodge while driving from Texas to Alabama with my 20 year old son and 10 year old Golden Retriever. Traveling with pets can often provide challenges in locating clean, quality lodging. After 8 hours in the car we were pleasantly surprised when we pulled into the parking lot of this new, well kept hotel in a nice area. First the location is great ! It is close enough to the highway to provide easy access, but far enough from the roads to provide for a very quiet night sleep. Across from the hotel was a large open area that was a great place to walk the dog. I felt safe even walking around at night. The hotel is adjacent to a very nice shopping area with a number of restaurants to include: Flemings, CHAMPS, PF Changs, Carrabbas and Starbucks. There is also a Whole Foods. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom suite that contained a small amply equipped kitchen ( Dishes, Pots and Pans, Toaster, coffee maker, etc.) with a stove, microwave and full size refrigerator. The hotel offers a shopping service where you can turn in a list of groceries that they will purchase on your behalf. The room was very clean and spacious. Included in the price of the room was a hot breakfast buffet (Eggs, Waffles, Bacon, Cold and Hot Cereals, Fruit etc.). Free in room wireless Internet was also provided for guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful. While not an inexpensive option for travel with Pets ( they charge a mandatory $75 Pet fee ) for me, the cleanliness and location made it well worth it.

Recently spent one night at the Residence Inn - Commerce Circle in Baton Rouge. The room was beautiful - looks very new.

We had a king suite and our kiddo spent the night on the pull out sofa - which she said was quite comfortable. The bed linens and towels were all soft, thick and cushy.

The pool area was very nice and they had a small basketball court too.

The breakfast buffet was a great surprise and included eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal...and more.

We will stay here again whenever we're in the area.
