Diamond Jack's - Bossier City

Checking in took over 45mins, very slow employees working at counter. Rooms were really worn out, needs a serious update. The hotel is really old and it shows. The only good thing about the room is the price. If your low on cash and dont mind a really rundown room, then the diamond jack hotel is perfect for you.

I did not gamble or get a room. My children and I went in to eat at the legends buffet. The buffet was excellent and kept very clean. I really enjoyed the seafood pasta that was prepared before me any way I wanted. My children enjoyed the fish and strawberries.

Room Tip: Dining tables located on the far right side are great for families with children.

We stayed here recently and all I can do is ask what happened? This used to be a very nice place to stay. Our room was a king suite with hot tub next to the bed. There was water damage to the wall and trim around the hot tub. Also a water stain on the ceiling above the tub, apparently the hot tub in the room above also leaks. There was no latch on the French doors to the bathroom. More water damage around the shower and toilet along with some mold. There was a tiny TV in the bathroom that didn't work. The TV in front of the bed worked but was not very clear. The curtains didn't close completely so the room was never completely dark. The box spring on the bed sounded like it was about to collapse. They want $149 per night on the weekend, but it is over priced at $49. The WET pool party was a joke, just a few people sitting around drinking and listening to the band. To get a drink you had to go over to the bar since no one came around to take your order. When we finally went to the casino and just could believe how far this place has fallen. The casino was on the dirty side, the air conditioning was terrible, felt like it was over 80. They may have had 2 waitresses on a floor but we never were offered a drink, had to go to the bar here as well. We ate at DJ's steakhouse which was good but way over priced. The steak was $29, the same steak down the road at Outback or Saltgrass is around $15 and tastes better. My suggestion is to stay at some other hotel, eat and some other restaurant and play at some other casino. They other places may not be any better but they can't be any worse.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

We started out with a slow check-in at 7:30pm. There was only one person working the desk, although there were other people behind the counter at different times while we were in line. Our room was warm and musty at 74, even though the thermostat was set at 50. There is only one vent that allows cool air to enter the room and it was not near the bed area. The bathroom had dusty fixtures and the sink stopper was missing. I noticed that there were areas of mold on the caulking in the shower. We were also able to hear bathroom noises from other rooms and when we tried to call the front desk, we found out that the phones didn't work. We finally awoke to another guest yelling from his room on the phone for about 30 minutes. Again, no phone contact with the front desk, so we packed up and left, much sooner than we had planned. To be fair, they did comp the room, but at too high a price for me. The rate was $69 per night, but for a few dollars more, we could have avoided this whole mess.

Room Tip: Find another hotel, maybe Margaritaville or Horseshoe.

Checked in at 1 pm asked for sheets to be changed on bed because there was something all over them and you could tell that the linens hadn't been changed since last guest and at 9 pm it had still not been done. Air conditioner didn't cool the room very well. Just overall bad experience. Buffet was bad also food was old and over cooked.

I took my daughter here for her 21st birthday and thought the hotel was great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The pool was very clean. No one was rude although the front desk did fail to give us our pool wrist bands so I had to get them. The lines are long for checkout as they don't allow anyone to check in until three. But the front desk was efficient and polite.
Not sure what the bad reviews are about, but I couldn't find any.
