“A wonderful taste of Cajun Country”
Reviewed 13 October 2004

My husband & I had a blast at this charming, old, laid-back house which is a convenient base for exploring Acadiana. Mary Lynn, the owner, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The house dates to early 1800's (furniture and antiques are beautiful), yet she has updated the necessities without losing the feel of SW Louisiana living. Don't miss the Zydeco breakfast on Saturday at Cafe des Amis & enjoy the lovely grounds on Bayou Teche. (But do be careful of mosquitoes during rainy, warm weather . . . take bug repellent!) A very comfortable atmosphere for making new friends and exploring a unique part of the country.

The Bayou Teche Bed and Breakfast is situated on the Bayou Teche in Breaux Bridge, home of the Crawfish Festival, Mulate's, and the jazz brunch at the Dragon Cafe. The B&B is run by Mary Lynn Chauffe who has refurbished The City Hotel from 1800's fame and early 1900's life as a boarding house. The rooms are exquisitely charming and the building is venerable. Most enjoyable.
