“Funky, authentic, and full of joie de vivre”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

On our way to New Orleans we were desperate for some kind of snack. Little did we know, there was a funky little cafe custom-made for us. Even though they were busy setting up for a special live performance, we got a super warm welcome from pretty much everyone working here, along with an interesting rundown of the local music scene. The oatmeal cranberry cookie was crispy and packed with flavor, which matched the smoothies perfectly. It’s a great little stop in a great little town.

“Very quaint and friendly”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

We were here too late to really eat but the people were so friendly and offered to serve us even thought they were fixing to close. Lots of beautiful art and local gifts. We will return!

“Best of Breaux Bridge & Live Music”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Joie de Vivre is our favorite place in Breaux Bridge. It is a nice place to sit and enjoy while having a light lunch and a cup of hot tea or coffee.
The Saturday morning jam session is the best!
While we were there a Cajun music jam session was going on. Usually 20 or so playing at one time. I counted 41 different people that played during the 2-3 hour jam session. Locals dancers or anyone were welcome to join in.
The Red Beans and Rice are great along with several sandwich options are great.

“My Favorite Place in Breaux Bridge”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Joie de Vivre is my favorite place in Breaux Bridge. A nice place to sit and enjoy some peace and quiet while having a cup of cafe au lait. The mochas are divine too. Joie hosts a Cajun jam session every Saturday from 11 to 1. The jam, and the red beans and rice, are not to be missed. Bring your instrument!
