The canjun country cottages B&B is a original experience, very positive. The cottages look like a nothing we have never seen before. The location is on a small lake with a private pier. You could use the canoe to discover the lake...it's safe without alligator, only ducks and a heron.
The decoration is very cosy, out of time with confortable equipments (clean bathroom, kitchen). I didn't believe it, but I have a good wifi connection. I really recommand this place.

We spent two nights in the Playhouse, which is the smallest cottage. It was just fine for the two of us, and was clean and comfortable. We loved watching the ducks from our porch swing, and enjoying a glass of wine while sitting on our own little pier overlooking the pond. A sweet dog named Jade (who apparently belongs to the neighbors) kept us company on the porch. I would gladly stay there again.

My daughter and I stayed in the Evangeline guesthouse.
Very cute and charming. Had the weather been a little less sweltering hot, we would have enjoyed the dock and small porch even more. :-) We did take one of the canoes out on the lake one afternoon. It was fun.

We stayed in the schoolhouse in June 2013 for a week. The location, accommodation and most of all the hosts were amazing. You could not get a nicer more genuine couple who take the time to ensure you see the best of the area and look after you with the utmost care but without intrusion. There are some great places nearby to have food, listen to music or visit. This is the America we dreamed about totally uncommercial and so friendly. You come away feeling refreshed and relaxed, the setting is gorgeous and we would recommend this to anyone without hesitation. The breakfasts are wonderful and considering we were there for a week every day we had something different and wonderfully cooked. We slept well, swung on the swings and dreamed of staying forever. Thanks Chris and Stephanie for sharing this with everyone and for being the perfect hosts.

My wife and I traveled to the U.S
from Hong Kong and spent a week in New Orleans and wanted to experience "Cajun" country. We thought these cottages looked so relaxing on the website and when we arrived they were even better than we expected. We sat on our private pier and didn't want to leave! The sounds of nature with the birds and ducks was so charming. After a week in the city this was the perfect place to relax. The restaurants are very good and easy to get to. Chris was so helpful and gave us suggestions for places to visit.
What a delightful place.

I surprised my girlfriend for her birthday by booking one of the picturesque cottages scattered around the pond on the grounds of this hidden treasure. Upon entering the cottage, the lighting lit by the manager prior to our arrival, created a warm and cozy atmospher and set the tone for a really special weekend. She was so excited by the charm and beauty of it all but as if it wasn't perfect enough, it started to rain and sound of the rain on the tin roof added an extra bonus. It was a most memorable weekend for both of us.
PS the breakfast the next morning was delicious!

Room Tip: All of the cottages looked nice, we stayed in one called "Evangeline" and it was fantastic...
