Very nice hotel. Great location off I 12,
If I could change a couple of things, I would like softer beds. My back was hurting in the morning. The other thing, I wasn't very impressed with breakfast. They were serving items to make burritos. (not everyone likes breakfast burritos)

Thank you for your comments. I am so sorry you didn’t enjoy our breakfast burritos. We have a rotating breakfast menu so there are different items each day! We realize not all guests like breakfast burritos and we have substituted that with a really awesome breakfast omelet on the morning we normally serve burritos. We hope you can come stay with us again and give our breakfast another shot!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Late one night we came down for a snack and the girl at the desk got us fresh soft cookies. The breakfast woman seemed to enjoy the people and helping guests. She made the extra effort to find tea bags for me and offered several.
I would definitely stay there again when in the area. Loved the relaxing rocking chairs outside.

This was our first trip to LA and it was a random pick staying at the Country Inn. We were very pleased with our stay the facility and grounds were extremely clean, the staff was extremely kind and the breakfast was actually a breakfast with many choices they kept everything stocked and the food was excellent. I would also like to say while both checking in and out there were repeat guests checking in and I feel that says it all. We hope to return for another visit and we will be staying at the Country Inn.

This is a decent choice for lodging situated about four miles south of downtown Covington and 6 miles north of Mandeville. Though I gave this hotel an overall rating of "Average" or "3" it really deserves something higher such as "Good" or "3-1/2" but, unfortunately, the ratings scale doesn't allow for that. For those who don't know, the Country Inns & Suites is part of the same parent organization that owns the Radisson Hotel chain, Park Inn chain and other brands. This particular hotel is located just off North Hwy. 190 on a quiet side street. Unless you’re familiar with the area, make sure you have good driving directions to the hotel when coming from the south because the name of the street on which the hotel is located is not visible at the intersection where you need to turn off the highway. It would be helpful if the hotel had signage posted along the highway indicating where guests/visitors should turn. Overall, the hotel’s appearance, both in and out, is similar to that of other hotels in the Country Inns & Suites chain as well as that of some of its competitors. However, this particular hotel appeared to be well-maintained and seemed to be of recent construction. We had a room with a comfortable "King" bed on the 3rd floor overlooking the parking lot. The room was fairly large and adequately furnished in typical motel décor but with the addition of a desk suitable for business travelers needing to use their computers or take care of paperwork. The bathrooms are not very big but are suitably equipped and clean. An issue for some people may be the low-level, ambient hum extant in the room at times from the HVAC system within the room which could make sleeping troublesome for light sleepers or people travelling from other time zones. But, of course, this issue is not unique to the Country Inns & Suites and will apply to many other hotels. The services proffered and rendered are typical for this type and level of hotel. One nice additional feature of this hotel was the rather attractive combination reading room and library with fireplace situated just off from the lobby adjacent to the breakfast room. Guests had the opportunity of borrowing books to read during their stay - free of charge. The positives are that the guest rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast fare involves a reasonable selection of hot & cold items which are best-described as simple, palatable and relatively better than the breakfast items found at certain other hotel chains. Though there is no dining facility for lunch or dinner within the hotel, there are numerous dining options nearby and some can be reached by simply walking to them. However, if crossing the highway on foot do so at an intersection controlled by a stoplight rather than somewhere in between because the road traffic moves fast and can be intimidating if not outright dangerous. There is nothing really scenic about the surrounding neighborhood which is comprised mainly of retail stores, shopping centers, strip malls, fast food outlets, restaurants, hotels/motels and business parks interspersed with residential tracts and some wooded areas. Be advised that the rooms on the hotel's front (west) side overlook the hotel parking lot and neighboring hotel (Staybriddge Suites) while those on the back (east) side face a neighboring hotel (Super 8 Motel) which means there are no “rooms with a view.” One final positive factor to consider is the room tariff charged by this hotel. Comparatively-speaking, their rates appear to be lower than some of their competitors for what is essentially the same level of quality and lodging experience. Though I had a corporate (discounted) rate for my stay, a review of the hotel's regular rates using either Country Inns & Suites’ own website or other online hotel-booking websites shows their rates to generally be less than that of several other hotels and motels in the area. In conclusion I do recommend this Country Inns & Suites hotel in Covington. I have stayed at other hotels in the immediate area including the Courtyard By Marriott and Holiday Inn (now Clarion Hotel) but I think this hotel proffers better quality and facilities than some of the other hotels and motels in the area and it appears to be fairly-priced, well-kept and clean – the latter aspect being an important attribute relative to some of the other lodging chains in their peer group.

We found this hotel to be a great choice due to it being new and very clean. It's just away enough from the street traffic to be very quiet and restful. The lobby was designed to feel homey and succeeded, with evening snacks and diverse breakfast choices (great waffles). Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful and check in-out was a breeze. We loved the location, which was was near all of the great dining and shopping areas. We went as a get away, as Covington and Mandeville are really nice for that purpose.

Many of our guests say our lobby and porch area are our best attributes as the lobby is so inviting and homey. We are very proud of our free hot breakfast buffet as it has a rotating menu to hopefully provide a little bit of what everyone likes. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to see you again if you come for another getaway. Thanks again.

We have stayed here twice now and have been very pleased each time. The rooms are spacious - we would like to see a "guest chair" added in addition to the desk chair. You really need something to sit and watch TV in if you are staying for more than an overnight. Lisa, who works the breakfast area in the mornings, is great! Always smiling and friendly to help start your day off right. The cookies at the front desk are hard to come by. Made several trips downstairs and checked every time we went in and out and only had cookies available about 10% of the time. How are we supposed to have our bedtime snacks?? (LOL) The pool and spa are well maintained. Easy access to Walmart and a variety of restaurants. Steer clear of the nearby Waffle House - it is a bad Twilight Zone experience - and we generally enjoy Waffle Houses.
