A most amazing find for us during a trip into the Cotswolds, near Stow in the Wold. We stumbled upon this award winning pub after seeing a road sign on our drive to our hotel. Decided to give it a try. An outstanding decision. The owners, Simon and Sally, are delightful. We felt like old friends within minutes of entering the pub. We are vegetarians, and the choices on their menu were inventive, imaginative, and delicious. We enjoyed our first meal so much we came back another night for another outstanding meal. Simon prides himself on his selection of ales, and every one we tried (4 different ales over our 2 visits) were superb. Seriously, the food here easily surpassed, indeed put to shame, a recent meal we had here in the US at a 5 star resort. Most highly recommended. Well worth seeking this place out. This would easily become our local if we lived nearby.

We were staying near this pub in a cottage and the owner Simon, made us feel so welcome. We popped in a few evenings for a drink and then had dinner here one evening for my mum's birthday. Simon even helped us find a babysitter! The staff were very welcoming - this is a lovely traditional pub with a roaring fire, and cosy seating. The food was lovely, and Simon recommended some lovely wines. We had a lovely evening and would definitely return - this is a proper pub with a proper British welcome.

Took some friends from Scotland on Sunday for lunch at this delightful pub and as usual, had a lovely meal served by really friendly staff. A wide variety of dishes to choose from, all beautifully cooked using home grown produce. Possibly a tad on the expensive side but certainly worth it for the flavours of the food. Booking recommended. It is situate off the beaten track in a pretty little village so a good walk after you have eaten is a must.

We liked it so well we came back another evening for dinner and were greeted as old friends. Food doesn't always make for the best meal. We look for the "cozy factor". We did make a booking for a weekday which probably wasn't necessary in early May but helpful. Pubs can plan their staffing needs and you get a better table. The fireplace was going to create a glow in the room. Our two young wait staff were friendly and most importantly, efficient. This is a quintessential Cotswold's area pub. In the US we have chain restaurants on every corner and we delight in these special cozy places. Food was delicious, beer and wine choices good and atmosphere was top drawer! Next visit to the UK, we are hoping to stay in their Inn.

Only had a drink in this delightful pub as we were checking out pubs to the area we are moving to very soon. The welcome we received was very warm and the menu looked tempting. We look forward to visiting again once we live nearer.
