Being a well-travelled motorist I have stopped in a great many B&B’s across the UK and Europe, some good, many not so good. However, Hall Park is one of the best B&B’s I have ever come across. The property is set in several acres of outstanding countryside and throughout is finished to a very high standard with extras that are not often thought of (for instance each room had a quiet operating fan for use on hot days and the well stocked tea tray also had a jar of home made shortbread). Peace and tranquillity is assured and yet the city centre of Norwich is only a 10-minute drive away. For once, what you see advertised on the web site is actually what you get – and more!

The hosts Jane and Dick cannot do enough to make your stay memorable for all the right reasons. On arrival we were immediately made welcome with the offer of tea and cake and then shown to our room. The rooms are beautifully decorated and appointed, with a comfortable bed and quality soft Egyptian cotton bed linen. The breakfast is fantastic with a good choice of food, made all the better by Jane’s home made bread and preserves. My wife and I stayed for a short break in July 2014 and decided to also do the bread-making course offered by Jane. Not only was this great fun to do but was very reasonably priced too, especially considering we came home with a car boot full of fresh bread that tasted absolutely fantastic.

We will definitely return to Hall Park and will not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

Room Tip: All three rooms are excellent but the garden room has the best view and your own patio area.

I'm staying at this lovely B&B for several weeks whilst working in Norwich, and my wife joined me for a break last week. I can easily say this is the nicest I've ever stayed at. Jane and Dick are lovely hosts, and Jane has a knack of making you feel at home in this immaculate bungalow where they have set up three very pleasant guest rooms, each of the doubles with spacious bathrooms. Set in several acres of lawn and orchard with views across fields, and just 20 minutes walk to the river, it's a perfect location just 10 minutes South of Norwich if you don't want the bustle of the city.

Breakfasts sets you up for the day, with home made bread and jams. Try the smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs on home made muffin as a treat to start the day. Not to be hurried - it's just nice to look out to the garden and bird feeders and enjoy a friendly chat before or just plan your day.

Will be back with family in September, and will happily recommend to friends and family visiting the broads.

One tip for your first visit - the entrance to the short drive into the B&B is just after a bend in the road if you are approaching from the Norwich side, with a 'blind summit' sign on your left beforehand. Be sure to indicate in advance, and take care in the morning commuter hour with cars coming fast from your right as you exit - locals are a bit quick on the road! Not a busy road though at other times.

Room Tip: All rooms equally good, but the Garden room has the added bonus of being able to sit outside on a wa...

Only heard of this from friends in the area who we were visiting and this beautiful B&B was just so comfortable. The room abed and facilities were spot on. The wildlife viewed across the lawns was a real treat. It was only a shame we could not have stayed for longer.

We have just stayed here for two nights and this is a real gem of a B&B. Immaculately clean, with every comfort you could want. Tea and cake on arrival and an excellent breakfast both mornings. Jane and Dick were extremely helpful. We would not hesitate to stay again and to recommend this B&B to other travellers.

Stayed as a foursome for three nights from 13 May. My wife and I had the Garden room, our friends had the Orchard room. Spotless and spacious accommodation with every facility, including thoughtful touches like a torch and hot-water bottles (fortunately not needed!) Excellent cooked breakfasts, with homemade bread and jam.

We used the bus from the end of the lane into Norwich - and yes, it only takes ten minutes!

For evening meals we went to the Ferry Inn, which was reasonably priced, with an extensive menu and friendly staff.

All in all, an excellent experience.

Thank you Jane.

Room Tip: Any room would be fine - it's a lovely, quiet location.

We found this B & B on the internet. It is situated not far from Norwich in 5 acres of lovely gardens and orchards. The owner, Julie, was extremely friendly and welcoming. On arrival we were offered cake and tea and then shown to our room. We overlooked the orchard. We had a twin room with lovely comfortable beds and white cotton bed linen. The en suite shower was lovely and spacious and there were the usual complimentary toiletries. The bathroom was well equipped and modern. There was a good selection of teas and coffees and homemade short breads. WiFi was good and easily accessible.

There is a guest lounge overlooking the gardens where you can find a plethora of books, pamphlets, DVD's and games. There is also a lot of information on the local area and the Broads.

Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the garden. The quality of the produce and range of menu is excellent. Jane is a super cook and everything is cooked fresh and to order.Jane makes her own bread and this is served as toast with your breakfast. There is also a good choice of fresh fruit, cereals, muesli, nuts and yogurts as well as fruit juice.

The whole stay was a pleasurable experience - the peace and quiet were also a bonus. It is an ideal place to use as a base to visit the surrounding area.

Jane also runs bread making courses at different times of the year. You can find out when via the website.

Room Tip: All 3 rooms have good aspects. Views over the gardens or paddock at the back.
