Very good down the bayou type food. Good gumbo. Food like I cook at home. Very country feel. Nice people.

There is not a lot of choice when it coins to eating along LA1 between Raceland and Port Fourchon. There are the usual fast food joints.
Roses sits on the Golden meadows bypass just south of the Walmart.
Its not easy to spot as the sign is small and the building looks much like all the other industrial structures in the area. The parking lot is gravel and usually has a bunch of pick up trucks. The menu is classic diner fair with burgers sandwiches and the usual chicken fried steak. There is a small salad bar. Service is friendly and the place is clean but spartan.
Prices are in line with the area. If you are looking for something that does not come with a drive through window then I would recommend this place.
Good basic food reasonably priced.
