This restaurant is now called "La Providencia" but not much else has changed. Still has good food. I loved the fajitas. The enchiladas have a mole sauce and their salsa has some spice to it. They some of the best flan I have ever tasted.

Great pupusas and more. Not much for ambiance... Just really good Central American chow at pretty nice prices.

We stopped in for dinner based on favorable on-line reviews. The place will seat lots of diners, but at 7:00pm on a Thursday, it was just us, another couple, and a man with two kids. And they all of them had been fed long before our wait for food passed the 30-minute mark. And mind you, all we were waiting for was one Pupuseria platter and an a la carte order of three bistek tacos. The owner (I guess) came by and apologized for the long wait (after we'd eaten). But she didn't explain why we'd waited 45 minutes for food. Nor did she offer us a free dessert or other consolation prize.

The restaurant is in a small house out on a dusty country road. The food is terrific and worth a trek to Lubbock to try.
Lucky us: we have had TWO graduation parties there, great setting.

I love this place! The staff has ALWAYS been friendly and displayed a great sense of humor. The food is fantastic. You can't go wrong with the pupusas or the yucca con chicharon. Also, try a paloma.
