My second floor room was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and efficient. It was only two miles from where I was working that week. I will definitely stay there again. There is a mall and several restaurants within a three mile radius. It was great.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff incredible and honest, went out of their way for me when I accidentally left money in the room at checkout. Location easily accessible to resuaraunts, shopping, and expressway

The rooms in this hotel were okay, comfy bed with a hot shower. It's obviously an older building. The location is not great, so the clientele were very shady. There were multiple parking lot parties going on during our stay. For the price and the proximity to downtown New Orleans it wasn't terrible, but next time I'll just pay a little more for a hotel in a better area with better clientele.

When you compare this older remodeled hotel to what is available in the area its really a pretty good deal. Oh its not as nice as the newer units you'll find near the interstates but I would stay there again. After paying $225-up to stay in a four or five star on Canal or some of the other locations near the quarters, that only have Valet parking and charge for Wifi, this Motel seems WAY better. Sure the sink was slow to drain, the shower dripped, the walls had been repainted 20-30 times,,, but the A/C unit had a "fan always on" button to drown out any noise. I always have trouble sleeping when the a/c is kicking on and off all night a few feet away so I loved this rare feature. The room was clean and the beds where comfortable. The breakfast area was small and the choices limited but the coffee was good and you have the option of walking 50 yards out the front door to the I Hop resturant if you prefer. There are MANY good places to eat in Gretna also. Gattuso's on Huey P. Long, or New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood on Manhattan are great places to get lunch and save you cash for the big dinner in N.O. The Jean Lafitte swamp tour is pretty good if you have kids and there is a national park just across the street by the same name with a nice visitors center and elevated hiking trails through the swamp.
