“Fun!”

Loved this tour. Fun and educational. Lots of turtles and gators. Check for a groupon for half off admission.

“Great Tour and Local Attraction”
Reviewed 27 June 2014 via mobile

We had a great time on our tour. Our guide was very informative and gave the group a lot of knowledge about the way the turtles and gators are raised and farmed. You find a nicer guy than T Mike Kliebert. He runs a great business and is very friendly to all the customers. This is a working "FARM" not a zoo. Lots of different animals to see and my kids loved being so close to them.

“Animal Cruelty”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled to...not sure where are all these good reviews are coming from, but my experience here was disappointing and upsetting. Initially, you are taken to the turtle and alligator farms. These are okay, besides the tour guide who kept repeatedly poking and *stepping* on the head of alligators in order to get some movement from them. But then, we went to the hands-on portion and things went downhill quickly. The alligator used for pictures was tied up on a fence post, with a duct taped mouth. He was nowhere near water or other gators, in the dirt. The tour guide told us that the blood on his body was just from the gator thrashing about and hitting himself on the fence post...great. Then, he proceeded to drag the gator to the grass and lift up his neck in order to subdue him and let endless numbers of children jump on him and snap a quick picture. My friend and I were so disturbed we walked away and looked at the other animals. Those weren't any better. The bunnies had overgrown nails and were in wire cages with no stable footing to stand on. The chicken coop had a dead chicken in it - with the live ones just standing around it. There were raccoons in a tiny cage and two giant tortoises in a similarly small enclosure. We we're sickened and left the tour before it ended.
I do not recommend this place at all.

“Actually pretty cool”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

We had hoped to go on a boat tour through the swamps but on the day everywhere we tried was fully booked. Keen to see some 'gators on our trip from Louisiana we stumbled upon this place on the drive north from NOLA.
At first i thought it could be quite disappointing but our tour guide was great, we got to see some big alligators and handle some smaller ones.

Very good value for money and really enjoyable.
