My husband and I and another couple visited Tellises recently. We were warmly greeted on Friday evening by our host Teah who had prepared a delicious pasta meal and a fabulous dessert for us. We brought our own wine. Rooms are individually decorated. We had chosen the Tartan room and were very happy with our choice. The room was large, quiet and comfortable with a lovely verandah. Slippers and robes were provided. There was a large spa bath in the bathroom. Teah provided many lovely touches such as the jar of jelly beans on the coffee table; the balloons and 'Happy Birthday' sign in honour of my birthday; lighted candles and a carafe of iced water and glasses for us as we were going to bed. Breakfast was amazing - fresh fruit, cereal and yoghurt and the best scrambled eggs ever. There are two lovely sitting rooms in the house to relax in, one has games and a well stocked library. Teah has also cultivated a beautiful garden around the house. Lochiel House was in easy walking distance just down the road for a superb dinner Saturday night. All in all a special place to stay with excellent personalised service. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked Trellises for a group of 18 next year.
