This small chalet, tucked away in a quiet corner of Somerset was just right for our holiday. The main part of the chalet is an open lounge, dining and kitchen area. There is a double bedroom at one end of the chalet and the bathroom is at the other. The chalet is very well equipped, with a cooker, microwave and toaster for food preparation and a larder fridge. There is also a washing machine. There is a freezer in the nearby barn. It is well provisioned so all we had to do was turn up and sit back and enjoy our stay. The whole chalet was clean and comfortable and well furnished. The garden is small but is very private and we enjoyed almost every meal out on the patio.
At the time of our visit the local pub is out of action but it is hoped it will reopen soon. The nearest pub is at Bason Bridge but there are better pubs around for eating at. We would recommend the Crossways Inn at West Huntspill. The nearest shops and railway station are at Highbridge. There is a restaurant at the nearby Cider Farm but the one time we tried to eat there it was fit to burst and we didn't try again. The carvery looked nice though and the Cider Shop is worth a visit.
The owners are extrememly welcoming and as they live nearby are on hand to answer any questions. Our thanks to them for making us so welcome and so comfortable for our week in Somerset.
Fantastic place to stay, clean, comfortable, and relaxing. This chalet has everything needed for a self catering holiday. John and Linda were really friendly and helpful and the chalet was situated in a lovely peaceful part of Somerset. Would love to go back and one of the best places we've ever stayed in.
