We found this on Trip Advisor & glad we did. Beautiful grounds, nice store and very friendly, informative people there. Live music was playing in the music hall, we took a leisurely stroll (self-guided) through all the different homes & buildings. Some had docents in period clothes telling about that particular home. Most interesting to me was the woman who did quilting. These people really know their stuff! Our teen daughter really enjoyed it too, especially the hands on barge! We had a local man walking around with us (did not work there, but obviously from the area). He was so friendly and told us even more about the history of the Acadians & Creoles. He grew up in a house similar. There is a restaurant, but we had eaten elsewhere before we arrived, so didn't eat there. Had a great day here.
