“Worth the 10 Minute Drive from I-10”
Reviewed 4 July 2011

Quick overnight stop; second visit to hotel in past two years. Great staff interaction with guests – personal, yet efficient and professional. Extremely comfortable room and beds. Very quiet as the hotel is set back from the highway and borders a small creek. Outback Steakhouse in front of hotel along with several other restaurants nearby. Starting to show some wear and tear.

Our 2-day stay at this hotel was wonderful! The staff was very friendly, rooms & bathrooms were clean and comfortable. They served a great complimentary breakfast, so we were able to start our day fueled & ready!

Good solid hotel here. The bed was comfy, sheets were clean, and it was a quiet room. I had an exercise room to use and there was breakfast although I didn't eat there. I'd stay here again. Staff was great!!

We stayed here for a girls softball tournament. We played at a field a few miles away on Kaliste Saloom.

The room was your typical Fairfield fare. I find their rooms to be small but clean. The beds were comfortable. i found it had a fresh smell.

The room had a fridge and microwave. The fridge is in a cabinet. i found that the heat produced by the fridge heated up the cabinet making it feel warm whenever you passed near the cabinet.

I found the bathroom was small but had decent counter space.

The hotel shares a parking lot with Outback Steakhouse, so dinner was a walk away. We actually did take out from there and ate in our room while relaxing after the games.

The pool area was nice and the girls had a great time swimming and eating pizza around the pool.

Now for the worst part...breakfast. There was another group of French Tourists there at the same time as us. They mobbed the breakfast room which made it difficult for us to get in and out. They could not operate the waffle maker which caused delays (as you know it takes forever to make waffles). They have pre packaged meat egg and cheese biscuits and croissants. Tip: Grab the prepackaged stuff and head to your room and heat and eat. Coffee was weak. Bottom line: for complimentary breakfast, it wasnt bad.

We stayed here for one night whilst travelling in the US. To balance our trip we used some value hotels and some luxury.

The reception staff were excellent, must have been one of the most efficient and courteous check-in and check-outs of our trip. We had trouble with the wifi and again the evening receptionist was very polite and re-booted the system for us.

Our room was on the ground floor and had a lovely view of the river, just wish the weather had been nicer!

Breakfast was nice, plenty of choices and when closing down one morning they even delayed when they saw a couple come in with a baby (doesn't always happen).

I stay here everytime I go to the Lafayette area. Its over all a great place. Clean hotel and friendly staff. It also has a nice calm outdoor area facing the water. I would suggest this hotel to everyone. Lives up to Marriott standards!!!!

I'm a fairly frequent traveller to Lafayette & up to now had stayed at the Hampton Inn near the I10. This time I was looking for something that offered a better room in a location with restaurants and shops nearby. The Fairfield comes out #1 in Tripadvisor reviews so I decided to give it a try.

The room was great. I had a suite with a small kitchenette, desk, sofa and flatscreen TV in one room and a king size bed (with another flatscreen TV) in a bedroom with a bathroom off. The rooms were nicely, if simply decorated, clean and comfortable.

Internet connection is free and fast enough for working & watching streaming video.

My only gripe about the room was that the refridgerator didn't work. Put some beers in there on the first night and they were warm the next day! I reported this to the front desk who promised to have someone look at it but it didn't get fixed in the three nights I stayed there.

Fairfield provide a free if rather basic breakfast. Some prepackaged stuff you microwave yourself, DIY waffles, toast & bagels, cereal etc. Some fresh fruit would have been nice. Coffee was foul!

I ate in the Outback steakhouse located just outside the hotel & that was good. There is a Chilli's within walking distance as well.
