We did the semi-private airboat ride and it was super awesome!!! TIC TOC our driver was great, we saw lots of gators, birds, turtles and even some white tail deer. I highly recommend this tour.

Don’t go off of the one or two negative reviews you see, those must just be a fluke. This was honestly THE BEST part of our trip to New Orleans!!! The transportation was worth it and the bus driver waited for us at our hotel. The swamp tour was AMAZING! We had Jay as our tour guide and he had such a great personality and talked about how he was a true Cajun and lives on the swamp lands. Hearing about his knowledge of the area was great, and he was very funny and friendly as well. We saw several alligators and surprisingly the airboat ride was like a speedboat at times!! I wasnt expecting that but it was so fun. It even rained hard towards the end of our ride and that didn’t even take away from the experience and fun we had. We hope to go back to New Orleans again and I would DEFINITELY do this again. I also recommend the small airboat. If you’re going to put out the money for the trip, put in on this. It was nice having a more intimate group that we could have fun with and ask any questions we wanted.

We hope to do this again!!

First off we paid extra to have them pick us up at the hotel. Thank god we were outside early because I had a feeling the bus driver would have left us there! Coming back she didn’t even drop us off by the hotel! Instead we had to hoof it back to the hotel from several blocks away. I think she was lazy or didn’t want to deal with the traffic, but either way we paid good money for that service. Secondly, the trip still could have been good when we took the afternoon tour, but our tour guide had a strong accent and spoke quickly. When one of the other people in our tour asked a question he replied “as I’ve already said…” very rude about it and after that I was afraid he’d bite my head off if I asked a question.
Since it was November and colder alligators heart beats slow down and that means that sighting one is very hard. Did see some baby ones and pretty views of the swamp and other wildlife, but not worth the price or service of this tour guide. Either come at a different time of year when it’s warmer or maybe a different tour group. Could have been better, but rude service trumped the trip.

Despite the weather being less than perfect, it was a great experience. The airboat itself is a fun ride and cruising the swamps in the bayou is terrific and beautiful. Got to hold a baby alligator and throw some marshmallows. Overall certainly a must do! Try to get a smaller boat.

We were picked up at the hotel and it was a 45 minute shuttle bus ride to the boat. The driver pointed out sites along the route and we crossed the Mississippi river and headed south. We got in line to get our ticket and boat assignment which was about a 15 minute wait.We were on an airboat with 30 people total but the boat had plenty of power and we headed in to the swamp. Our captain was great he was 21 and a certified coast guard captain .He talked to us about safety and headed in to the 26000 acres of swamp. There was awesome green jungle like vegetation everywhere and after a few minutes I decided I wouldn't be too disappointed even if we didn't see gators just because of the ride but our captain took us right to some gators and lured them so close to the boat he could actually touch them and he did. He told us about their habits talked about erosion in the swamp showed us nesting areas and even talked about the reality of the swamp compared to the TV show swamp people. It was an action packed hour and 45 minutes and it was easily worth the $70 ticket We were on vacation for 10 days and this tour was the best of the best as far as activities in New Orleans and even Texas

Don’t take your own UBER/LYFT. This is located in a remote area with limited phone reception and not rideshare cars available.
With that being said, this was a very cool tour. The weather was beautiful and it was warm enough to get the gators out to soak up some rays. We were even able to watch alligators move about in the water and eat some marshmallows. Our tour guide was informative and quickly pointed out the alligators.
Definitely highly recommend this tour!

One of the best parts of my trip to New Orleans last week. The entire tour was fantastic. We were picked up near Jackson Square and shuttled to the spot.

Our guide, Tick Tock, was great. He provided interesting info and was happy to answer questions from our very inquisitive group.

We saw quite a few alligators, tons of birds, and a few deer.

Highly recommend the tour.

Our favorite part of our trip to New Orleans! They came and picked us up and our bus driver, Stacy was hilarious! Our boat guide was also great. He took us out and we saw 4 gators! Plus we each got to hold his baby gator. He was so funny and incredibly knowledgeable about the swamp area and gators. What’s fun experience!

Our group of six enjoyed a late afternoon ride on a small (6-8 guest) airboat. Captain Danny was informative and attentive. He spotted a bald eagle, alligator, raccoon, and a deer. He had a small, rescue alligator on board for closer observation. He described the way of life in this part of Louisiana. The highlight was the airboat ride--I'm glad that we chose the small airboat. It was a fun and exhilarating outing.

We chose to drive to the boat location from New Orleans instead of taking a shuttle bus. It is an easy drive. But, my GPS listed the address as "Barataria" instead of "Lafitte".

TIP: Bring eye protection and a windbreaker to ensure a comfortable ride--these boats move fast.

Really glad we booked this tour. Pick up bus was right on time. Check in process at the dock was quick and efficient. And our captain, Steve, was amazing. Loved the airboat ride and all the amazing sights and animals we saw. Highly recommend.
