Pros: clean, new hotel. HUGE rooms. Pull out sleeper sofas in every room. Microwaves and refrigerators in every room. Plenty of plugs and USB ports to charge electronics. Good location with Waffle House and sonic right next door. Not a bustling area YET.
Cons: poor front desk communication- at check-in, the front desk employee told us NOTHING about hotel amenities locations or times... Did not speak at all to us other than to ask for our IDs. When we asked for rooms away from the interstate, it was as if we had asked for presidential suites. Ice machines only on 2nd and 4th floors. The elevator went out the night we got there. We had rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The sole purpose for our travel was for my elderly father to get his cancer treatments at MD Anderson in Houston. He isn't allowed to carry anything and he has very little energy so trekking down and up three flights of stairs was incredibly taxing. When we complained no apology was offered. No offer of assistance was given. It was a good thing that I was with my parents at the time so I could get the luggage down. My mother has balance issues and had a very hard time getting down stairs. Needless to say, I'm not impressed with this place. The service was awful and the complacency of the employees was enraging.
Management, train your employees- or else you are heading for some legal issues. This experience could have turned out badly for you if my aging parents had been hurt going up and down your stairs.
