Many wonderful selections of wine to go with your meal there or to go. Also, wines are available by the glass if you're dining alone.

I love going to this place.

Martin has a huge selection on wine and other alcoholic beverages. But it also serves up plenty of light meals. I am a fan of sandwiches and pastas and meats and cheeses and this is what Martin does almost exclusively. What is better than having a light lunch with a glass of wine? It is not the same as being in Paris at a cafe, but it beats going to the food court in the mall.

This is a great place for a quick lunch or light dinner. The menu includes the traditional deli fare plus some gourmet and healthy choices. We had a Rueben sandwich on a delicious toasted rye. The corned beef was lean and tasty. The Creole shrimp salad makes a great side dish. We also had a California sandwich (turkey, sprouts, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber , cheese, spicy mustard and mayo) on whole wheat pita bread. It was a healthy and yummy choice, although there was a special healthy choice salad and entree that included fish and fresh veggies . In addition to the sandwiches , the special menu of the day included a quiche, soup, a special burger and pizza. For those with a sweet tooth, luscious cakes are available by the slice. A nice selection of wines are available by the glass or bottle. You will need to place your order at the counter and pick it up yourself , but this does provide you with a great opportunity to view the salads , deserts, and cheeses. The dining area is in a an attractive bright corner of the store with plenty of comfortable seating. When you finish eating you will definitely want to browse through the store which contains many fine wines, beer and gourmet items . Take home and take out is also available, as is a Sunday brunch with Mimosas. The sandwiches and specials cost more than fast food but are so good, you will want to return . lThis is a fun, casual spot to visit, but it does get busy at lunch, so get there early or go after one o'clock .

I love to stop at Martin whenever I need to plan a "picnic". The togo food is so well prepared and I can always find a great wine for a great price!

So, Martin's is more than just a place to grab a bottle of wine. The location in Metairie has an amazing dinner space, and has grown in popularity over the past few years. There is a regular menu and daily specials, I have never been disappointed by a daily special. They also have a deli and sell meats and cheeses. There is of course wine, you can have it by the class if you are eating, or grab one of the many varieties that are in stock. They also have a very reasonably priced selection of alcohol and hard to find beers.
