best shrimp po'boy I've ever had. I can't imagine finding anything better. The roast beef was a knock out as well. Great, local atmosphere. Awesome, friendly service. My favorite place in New Orleans thus far!

“If you like to go where the locals go...”
Reviewed 8 February 2014

Radostas in Metairie is the place, if you want to go where the locals go. Casual, friendly, informal combination restaurant/deli/sandwich place. I like it for the great oyster poor boys. It's out of the way, but if you're in the general vicinity, I'd recommend it for a poor boy!

“Neighborhood Favorite”
Reviewed 4 February 2014

This is a traditional New Orleans (well, actually, old Metairie) neighborhood short order and po-boy restaurant of the type that makes New Orleans area casual dining some of the best in the world. Besides the regular po-boys, there are special po-boys named after each member of the family: Joan's is like a barbecued shrimp; Don's with house made Italian sausage, olive salad like in a muff, and melted provolone, and many more. The onion rings are righteous, with generous serving size; if you're along ask for a half order.

Talk about family atmosphere. Late one Saturday morning in the summer when there weren't any sports games going, one of the young granddaughters was watching the old Tarzan movie and engaged me in conversation about it, joined by Ms. Joan at the cash register. And these people knew me only as an occasional customer, but from the neighborhood.

When the local paper started their search for the best roast beef po-boy around town, they started at Radosta's. Unfortunately someplace else won, but Radosta's placed respectably.

Let's hope the family can keep this place going for a long long time.

This place is so worthwhile. Don't come to the NOLA and not visit here. The owners and staff are super friendly and cater to the customers.
