“Great Experience”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

This store was a great place to get to experience. I went just to browse. The only thing I bought was a glass bottle coke as I walked in the store. The store was like walking into a bygone era and it was very enjoyable. I will make this a stop anytime I'm in the area.

“Interesting”

Small town hardware store that had everything and helpful staff. Building old itself was worth the time to go into and see. Old elevator that still works was interesting.

“An Old Fashioned Hardware Store”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

This store is the most interesting shop in town. Generally, it has what the other stores do not have: hardware. One can learn much about Louisiana culture just walking through it. Example: extra large pots for cooking shrimp, crabs, crawfish and the heating elements that go with the pots; a Cajun brand of cookware I had never seen before. Hardware supplies, such as nuts and bolts can be counted out by the number you need. One doesn't have to by a bunch if you only need a few a few. Upstairs are items decorators or college students are likely to purchase: dishes for summer time picnics or the Fourth of July, aprons, decorative center pieces, LSU plastic glasses, Northwestern cups, and so on.
