“Nice Side Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 September 2013

Liked the tour in general and the tour guide was really good. Spent a while taking photos and hanging out there for a good amount of time.
The price was a bit high, in our opinion and think they would draw more visitors by knocking of a couple of bucks.

“True treasure of American history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

A must-see when visiting south Louisiana. This home is so well preserved, with a beautiful garden. I can fully understand why it is part of National Trust. History buffs will appreciate why the last owner/desendent worked so hard to restore it and turn it over to the Trust.

“Interesting place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

Our guide was very informative and entertaining. The home is beautiful but not as large as I expected. The grounds beautifully kept. Great views! Lots of original pieces of the family that owned and built this place. Definitely recommend the tour.

“Beautifully Preserved Southern Home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2013 via mobile

We visited here again for the second time. This home is a perfectly preserved house museum with original furnishings. It gives a perfect glimpse into a bygone way of life with a very personal touch of the family.

“We're still recovering from the chigger bites!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2013

Let me start with some go onto the grassy area. There wasn't anything to see and we all have bug bites on our legs.

Now for the review. We were coming back from Aveey Island and our relatives wanted to stop at this historic site as it on the National Register. Paid for the four of the house and grounds. Offered AAA siscount so cost for 5 of us (2 adults 3 students) was ~$34. It was a slow rainy day so we ended up being the only ones on the tour with our relatives which is always nice. Start with a movie and then the tour. Most of the furnishings were original to the family. We decided that it wasn't anything special if you've been to other historic houses from the same era.
