Had a take away. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Service friendly and fast. The actual inside is a bit lacking in ambiance. More a cafe than a bistro, but none the worse for that. Well worth a visit.

We were visiting the area over the weekend and stumbled onto Cozy Corner while looking for a place for dinner Sunday night. I'm so glad we stopped! We did get our food to go as we had a nice bottle of wine waiting back in our hotel but everything we ordered was just delicous! Everyone there was super friendly and very accomodating. Right when we were leaving with our order a big party of 12 came in-it was near closing time- but the staff could not have been nicer to them! Things like that say a lot. We will return for sure the next time we're in the St. Francisville area!

We stayed our last weekend in NOLA at the Mrytles Plantation and left that Sunday night to find someplace other than the MP restaurant to eat. Not too many joints around but we drove by here and noticed they were open.

Evesdropping we found out later that they had only been open a few weeks and boy are we glad we stopped. The place is lovely (check out my pics) the service from the two young teenagers that were working was friendly and attentive and our food was for the most part, very good.

Neither of us noticed a sign that read "Fried chicken will take up to 30 min to cook" or something like that, so it seemed that we waited for a long time.

The fried chicken was excellent, def worth waiting for although the sides were just okay. My pork ribs were clearly NOT homemade and the sauce tasted straight out of a bottle. But, the sweet tea was right on and the LAST piece of coconut cake they had was mine for dessert and it truly was to die for!!

Apparently there is a little old lady who makes all their desserts...don't miss the coconut cake, it freaking rocked. Should we ever come back, we will drop by...hope they're still there :O)
