I've done several tours in different parts of the world and this was by far the best. The boat ride was amazing and seeing the different wildlife was very neat. Great job Captn John! Don't forget your bug spray, it is a swamp.

On a recent school trip, a colleague and I brought a group of 13 teenagers and it was a blast! Coming from the landlocked Midwest, it was super being able to see 3 different types of aquatic environments - freshwater, brackish, and salt up so close and in a short time. Captain Greg was a hoot - engaging and entertaining with his knowledge of the swamp. Loved the wild pigs and raccoons. The egrets, snakes, swamp warblers, and gators were great to see in their natural habitat, as opposed to a zoo. This touring operation is well-planned with honest, hard-working employees. One of the students lost their iPhone on the bus and the driver on SS71 was kind enough to return it to us at our hotel. Yes, bring a jacket and a camera. I will definitely return with my family!

Overall the tour was really good and informative and worth doing while you're in New Orleans to get your bearings.
However, it was not worth the money. The van we were in was a small and dark van and kind of restricted our view when the tour guide pointed out stuff. Especially if you were sitting on the left and you were instructed to look at something on the right. It wasn't ideal to take pictures. Also, the air con was freezing!
Seeing the Katrina aftermath was very interesting and we got to see a musician from the band Fat Dominoes (even though I didn't really know who he was). I also think we didn't get to see some of the parts of New Orleans because the Mardi Gras parades were on so we missed out :(
If the tour was like 10 dollars cheaper it would have been worth it but maybe it was more expensive seen as we went during Mardi Gras so it was high season. We actually booked a combo tour (City and Swamp) so we got a discount. However, I don't think the Swamp tour wasn't great value for money either. I'd recommend perhaps looking for cheaper tours because they probably all take a similar route.

Enjoyed the visit very much. Chuck was an amazing tour guide! We saw snakes, turtles, alligators, and beautiful trees and plants. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.
