“Bayou Treasure! Great atmosphere and dining delight”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

This restaurant is a real treasure for its location on the bayou and meal offerings in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly, well informed, and accommodating.

The bayou setting is superb and I highly recommend taking the short walk out to view the water from the boat dock either before or after dinner. There is also live jazz some evenings that can be either a focal point or a great backdrop that does not disrupt conversation, depending on where you choose to sit.

The menu has a great variety for both the surf and turf lover. The sugar cane pork chop and the catfish bonfouca are two favorites.

Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike.

“Delicious Food, Great Ambiance”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 via mobile

Lovely hidden restaurant. Looks like a repurposed house from the inside. They should clean up the visible open space upstairs because patrons can see the storage items up there and it detracts from the otherwise crisp and clean look. Some patrons were a little dressed up and others more casual. The best po'boy we had during our Louisiana trip. The salads were also excellent choices. Make this a stop for lunch or dinner if you're in the area!

“Beautiful bayou location”

It is a relaxing setting on the bayou. Compared to other restaurants in the area, we just don't find the food and service as good.

“Delightful Atmosphere and Great Food”

Spend a lovely afternoon enjoying the food and atmosphere. Had a soft shell crab stuffed with oyster dressing on a roasted corn salad. Very innovative. Look forward to another visit there.

“A Jewel In the Rough”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Who would expect to find a restaurant that exceeded my expectations in every respect while making a most tedious cross country trip across the country? If you are making this journey across I-10/12, don't miss this restaurant. We sat on the plastic enclosed patio (to protect from mosquitoes) and the view of the bayou and surrounding jungle like foliage was pure LA. The food and service was outstanding. To get a full experience, my wife and I shared every course so we wouldn't over eat. We started with the corn and crab soup, then had the spinach and strawberry salad with walnuts and gorgonzola cheese, and finally had the trout in a divine sauce. This place is notable for the quality of food ingredients as well as preparation. We had a genuine LA experience - great people, great food in a great setting.
