I enjoyed our trip to oak alley, everyone was very helpful, from the guy at the ticket desk who asked all about us and what we did for a living and then when he found out mentioned the discount we would receive (I had no idea they offered them). The trees are beautiful as is the house, the cafe and gift store are great and well priced. Was a little bit disappointed with the house tour, it lacked emotion, although the lady who took the tour was very knowledgeable, also no photos allowed in the house. I could understand this if everything was original to the house but it's not, mostly reproductions and random furniture from the same time. The slaves quarters obviously are not original but unfortunately they look like they were built a few months ago. I would absolutely go back but would skip the house tour next time.
