My boyfriend from Boston was coming to LA for the first time and I wanted to impress and show him the best Monroe/WM had to offer. We stayed in the Alexis Room and it was worth the cost per night. It was quiet, romantic, and well decorated. The king size bed was comfy and the rustic vibe of the whole B&B made you feel relaxed and at home. Hot water fast in the shower and the tub, flat screen tv, free wifi, you can control your own AC unit with a remote!, AMAZING BREAKFAST, plenty of parking, right in the heart of antique alley and all the cute specialty shops....could not ask for anything more. We were served Butternut Squash frittatas, eggs, bacon, French Toast, biscuits, and coffee/juice for breakfast. Tanya is such a great cook. And getting to know the other guests at the table was really charming. Tanya knew a lot about the city and was so welcoming and accommodating. Cannot say enough about how pleased we were with our stay! You won't regret it!

Only negatives (and they aren't really negatives) No elevator, so pack light or work on lifting your luggage, and the water was a little yellow coming out of the faucets, but that's just Monroe water naturally.

Thank you Tanya for helping make our visit so special. We wish you lots of continued success and will be back to visit you soon.

We stayed here last night after our wedding, just to have somewhere other than home to stay. Everything was beautifully decorated and so clean! I can't wait to make up a reason to just go back and stay. We left early and didn't have breakfast, but we could smell it and we were jealous of all the other guests who got to enjoy it! If you're coming anywhere near this area, this is the only place to stay!

After a long trip from the west coast to speak at ULM, I pulled my suitcase up the long stair case to the main house level on the second floor. What a surprise. A lovely high ceiling space with skylight over a massive dining table, pier mirror over the sideboard all in the modern color way of greys, silver, shades of cerulean and silvered glass. A shimmering oasis in West Monroe's Antique Alley.

Breakfasts are a delight. Ask your lovely hostess for her fabulous sweet potato hash. Her buttery baby biscuits and ginger scones melt in your mouth.

My room was the "newest". A great size, comfortable bed, high ceilings and elegant details.

A must stay here.

Room Tip: All the rooms are designed differently, some with claw foot tubs. All have their own charm. I loved my room the last one near the owner's suite. Ask and you shall receive.

We managed to get a room at the Hamilton House on a recent trip to West Monroe. It was everything we could hope for. The room was beautiful and the attached bath was complete with a clawfoot tub. The water had the West Monroe "funk" to it so the owners supply bottled water for drinking. The coffee and beverage bar were a delight, The breakfast was really good, she takes pride in her food and it shows. A great experience!

Room Tip: All the rooms are up, so be prepared to climb stairs.

We make the trip from Dallas to Montgomery once a year and like to break up the drive back with a stopover near Monroe. We’ve regularly stayed at the HGI or Hampton Inn on our way back. No more. On a whim, we booked the Hamilton House and couldn’t have been more pleased. Tonya and husband have poured a lot of time and elbow grease into creating a very nice B&B with a bed you didn’t want to get out of. Tonya’s breakfast was great and her recommendation for dinner at Cotton couldn’t be beat.
