“Disappointing”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

We had high hopes for this Indian and experienced a warm welcome on a Saturday night.
Restaurant was busy (usually a good sign!)
However, food overall lacked flavour - lack of onion in bhaji and lack of flavour in the other dishes which is unusual in Indian cooking!
There was also a long delay between starter and main course.
Service was friendly and women receive a carnation flower but overall food was disappointing.
Won't be returning.

“Best Indian ever!”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

If I could pick only two things to eat everyday for the rest of my life, the Queens Spice chicken pakora and vegetable samosa would be top of my list!
Never had fault with the food either sit in or take away. The staff are a friendly delight in person and over the phone.
I too ordered a take away this weekend which took longer than usual to arrive; but you can only assume this means they are busy due to it being a weekend. Delivery driver dressed impeccably and very apologetic...!!
The bottom line: I wouldn't go anywhere else for Indian cuisine.

“Very poor delivery service”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

We regularly ate here, would take visiting friends, and have been good advocates of them by way of referral, and we cannot fault the food, however, we ordered a take away this evening. We were REALLY disappointed by the fact it took 2 hours to deliver a straightforward meal, 2 miles from the restaurant. Disappointing , and we will need to be very hungry before we return.

“Tandoori cuisine at it's best”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

We have experienced delightful Indian/Nepalese/Tandoori cuisine while in Scotland and this is the second world class Indian restaurant that we have visited in our 2 week holiday in Scotland. The exterior belies and classy interior - it might be old school but it is classy. The welcome and service were friendly and professional and the food out of this world. Superb!

“Absolutely delicious!”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

We've visited many restaurants in the US representing different regions of India, but were pleasantly surprised to find the Queens Spice to be one of our favorite Indian restaurants. The backdrop was the charming, historical town of South Queensferry, just about 30 minutes outside of Edinburgh.

The three dishes we ordered were flavored delicately and cooked to a high standard. Initially we dined outside which was lovely but consistent with Scottish changeable weather, it became too windy to remain there. We moved inside the restaurant which has a mediocre atmosphere, but were quite wowed by the food. I ordered very tasty and sweet Naan bread with almond and sultanas we well as a ginger seasoned spinach dish with a bit of garlic. My sons were also delighted with their chicken dishes from the luncheon menu which came with an appetizer and bread. The service was very pleasant and attentive.
