My wife and I attended a wedding at Dundas Castle on Saturday 29th June 2013 and enjoyed it very much. The setting is excellent and the rooms open to the public are very opulent, you feel as if you are in a stage setting from a period drama. The staff were all very good, being attentive and helpful without being intrusive. The wedding ceremony itself was held in the keep which is accessed by a steep winding staircase so is not ideal for those whose joints are not as supple as they used to be. The photographer booked for the wedding by the bride's mother unfortunately couldn't make it at the last minute and the hotel staff found a replacement at very short notice, (well done!).
The reception was held in a pavilion in the grounds. The food was first class and the pavilion provided everything that was required for a successful night.
If you've got the money to spend on a wedding venue then visit this place before choosing anywhere else.
