One night stay on business. Used the free hotel pick up from the airport which went very smoothly (10 Minuets journey time). Hotel had a modern/trendy feel to it. The service from all the staff I delt with excellent and really made the short stay a pleasure. It is out of the way if you are looking for a city break in Edinburgh, but if you need a hotel for a late airport arrival or early departure and are looking for a little more than Holiday Inn express then would highly recommend. Got a good mid week deal ay £89

I am just back from a weekend in Edinburgh and we stayed in the Dakota hotel and it was a fabulous weekend. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The Hotel was very clean, comfortable and quiet, we enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The hotel is about 20 minutes out from the city but the local bus stops across the road and goes straight into Edinburgh city for a grand total of £2.70 which we felt was great value.
The wifi was not good in the hotel but that was a small sacrafice when you take into consideration how lovely the hotel is. We also availed of the free shuttle bus to and from the airport which is provided by the hotel which was an absolute blessing.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to stay in Edinburgh and who didn't mind being a little outside the city.

Room tip: AC units in the room come on automatically but can be switched off easily on the wall.

I stayed here for a night, with dinner. The hotel itself is very deceiving from the outside - a bit nondescript - however wait til you walk through the doors. A different world! Plush covers it. The bedrooms are very well laid out and again plush. The ample ensuite bathroom has the most wonderful shower and plenty of room in it too. Dinner was a wonderful experience and the food was delicious however we did have to wait some time for our main course. This was rectified by John who, on finding out, offered us free dessert to compensate.
I will be back just to enjoy the ambiance!

Great comfy accommodation. Staff are very friendly and will do whatever they can to make your stay more enjoyable. Hotel could be a bit brighter and a few more lights would not go a miss. Children's menu in the restaurant would be good as well

This hotel looks good!! If a little intimidating !! But the beds are very uncomfortable and the cleaning is very poor. We stayed 3 nights and during this time we did not get our beds changed or receive new soap and shower products! The rooms are very warm with hidden air conditioning panels as they do not match the deco!! Our room was next to the gym which was very noisy when in use!! Would not stay again !!
