We just needed a convenient and reasonable place for one night on a business trip. The marquee stated "Rooms start at $45", the operative word being "start". We got suckered to paying more, which probably would have gotten us a better hotel. The halls smelled bad, though the room did not. The furniture was worn and wall coverings peeling. The TV is analog and we could barely read any text on it. The linens were nice and clean and the bathroom floor was new and clean. A surprising thing: the parking lot was full the next morning, so the cheap price advertised works. The nearby Motel 6 might have been better, who knows? We'll find out next time.

This hotel is old. The room was clean and the desk clerks were friendly. A very quiet hotel. The hotel needs updated. The sheets were so old you could see through them. We stayed for 3 nights. The last night there the cleaning crew had not replaced towels in our room. When I called the front desk, they said they would have the cleaning crew bring some by. I called a second time 2 hours later with the assurance that we would have towels. When returning to our room 4 hours later we still had no towels. I walked down to the front desk to inquire about our lack of towels. Apparently due to a full hotel, they were out of towels and had no more. I suggested they purchase enough towels for all of their rooms. We had one towel that hadn't been used the night before, so my husband and I shared it. This was not a way to impress people to return. We only paid $42/night so the value was good and the only real issue was lack of towels.

We checked into this hotel because we had an event the next day and wanted to go dancing the night before. When we checked in the door was covered with a white substance. It appeared that the room had just been redone, so I really hope that had been wall paper paste and not something else. The room was a non smoking room, but it didn't smell like it. The halls had stained carpet, and the beds had very scratchy sheets.

The room was very clean and neat. Our daughter loved the idea that we were able to go eat dinner without even leaving the building as there is a resturant located on the premises. The lobby was not that impressive though. When I went to check in there were a few boys "hanging" out in there that made me a bit uneasy. Over all we have like this one the best in Bangor for the price and find it comfortable and accomidating for our little family of 4 while on our mini vactions or business trips.
